The X-ray tube is designed in such a way that a collision area of the electron beam emitted from each of the first and second electron beam emission areas on the anode surface moves in response to a voltage applied to the focusing structure.

The target has a first region having a locally small thickness and a second region having a larger thickness than the first region. The X-ray generation device further includes a deflection unit to switch an incident position of the electron beam between the first region and the second region. The deflection unit has an adjustment mode to adjust an X-ray focal spot diameter and an X-ray generation mode to generate an X-ray, the electron beam is caused to enter the first region in the adjustment mode, and the electron beam is caused to enter the second region in the X-ray generation mode.

A radiation therapy device includes an electron beam source (EBS) for generating an electron beam and a steering device for directing the electron beam. A target is disposed a predetermined distance from the EBS and is positioned to intercept the electron beam. The target element generates x-ray photons upon the impact of electrons with the target. A focusing lens is coupled to and spaced from the target by no more than 10 mm, and is positioned to receive x-ray photons generated by the target. The focusing lens focuses the x-ray photons to a focal point. The radiation therapy device can also include targets configured to generate x-ray beams for tomosynthesis. A method for performing radiation therapy is also disclosed.

A radiotherapy equipment including: a rotating gantry, an X-beam generating assembly and a treatment couch. The X-beam generating assembly is on the rotating gantry, rotates about a rotation axis of the rotating gantry driven by the rotating gantry, and generates an X-beam deflected with respect to a rotating plane of the rotating gantry in a direction of the rotation axis, and the rotating gantry and the X-beam generating assembly are stationary in the direction of the rotation axis. The treatment couch is on a side of the rotating gantry for supporting a patient, and moves along the direction of the rotation axis to cooperate with a deflection of the X-beam to irradiate a target of the patient with the X-beam.

SCANNING-TYPE X-RAY SOURCE AND IMAGING SYSTEM THEREFOR

Provided are a scanning-type X-ray source and an imaging system therefor. The scanning-type X-ray source comprises a vacuum cavity (1), wherein a cathode (2) and a plurality of anode target structures (3) are arranged in the vacuum cavity (1); a gate electrode (4) is arranged in a position, close to the cathode (2), in the vacuum cavity (1); a focusing electrode (5) is arranged in a position, close to the gate electrode (4), in the vacuum cavity (1); and a deflection coil (6) is arranged in a position, close to the gate electrode (4), at the outer periphery of the vacuum cavity (1). The scanning-type X-ray source generates electron beams by using cathode (2), controls the powering-on/off of the electron beams by the gate electrode (4), and the deflection coil (6) controls the direction of motion of the electron beams, so as to complete the switching between multiple focuses.
