20240165355 · 2024-05-23 ·

An endotracheal tube having a bendable portion is provided. The endotracheal tube can include a first tube portion at a distal end of the endotracheal tube, a bendable second tube portion at a proximal end, a transition region located therebetween, and a reinforcing component positioned along the bendable second tube portion. The endotracheal tube can have a central airflow passageway extending from the proximal end to the distal end, with the reinforcing component configured to maintain a minimum airflow area of the central airflow passageway within the second tube portion when the second tube portion is in a bent configuration. The tube can include an inner wall and an outer wall to surround the reinforcing component. The bent configuration of the tube can include a bend having an angle from about 20? to 160?.

Laryngeal Mask Airway
20240148995 · 2024-05-09 ·

A laryngeal mask airway device (LMA) is disclosed comprising a ventilation conduit having operatively upper and lower ends, and a mask at the operatively lower end of the ventilation conduit. The mask has an inner surface forming a receptacle that is in fluid communication with the ventilation conduit, and an outer oropharyngeal surface facing away from the receptacle. The device includes a separate oropharyngeal suction conduit having an operatively lower end forming a collector defining a plurality of suction openings that extends across the oropharyngeal surface of the mask. In use secretions may be drawn through the suction openings into the oropharyngeal suction conduit for removal from the patient through the oropharyngeal suction conduit.

Positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask

The invention relates to a positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask. The positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask comprises a mask body and a mask body tube, wherein the mask body comprises a mask body bottom plate and a mask main body arranged on the mask body bottom plate, a central region in the mask main body is provided with a mask body cavity communicated with the mask body tube, a stomach decompression tube corresponding to the stomach mouth is arranged on the back side of the mask body bottom plate, and the stomach decompression tube is isolated from the mask body cavity through the mask body bottom plate. The positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask also comprises a connection suction mechanism capable of realizing negative pressure suction in a gas supply process. The connection suction mechanism comprises a suction connecting tube which is arranged in the mask body bottom plate, and the end, located in the mask body bottom plate, of the suction connecting tube is communicated with the stomach decompression tube. The positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask can be effectively positioned, has lower complexity and usage costs, can ensure the ventilation and sealing effect without air inflation in use, can realize suction of secretions in a ventilation process, can avoid airway blockage caused by epiglottis, and can improve the stability and reliability in use.

DEVICE FOR TRAINING TRACHEAL SUCTIONING

Training device for training tracheal suctioning. The training device includes a tracheal core adapted to be arranged within a tracheal, nasal or oral cavity of a medical training simulator, and coupled to the airways of the simulator and an insert adapted to be inserted into the core, the insert forming a reservoir for simulated mucus.

Endotracheal intubation and supraglottic airway device
10314995 · 2019-06-11 ·

An intubation and supraglottic airway medical device. The device includes an air tube for ventilation, and a tube for guiding a fiber-optic-probe-scope to the distal end of the device. The distal end of the device is configured with a balloon around the tube system and between a bottom plate and the tube system such that when inflated the distal end of the air-tube is moved and thereby positioning the air-tube distal opening in front of a laryngeal inlet. Additionally, the balloon forms a seal with the surrounding tissue. The device includes a drainage loop and an esophageal blocker preventing aspiration. The air tube distal end can include a lifting plate configured to lift an epiglottis when the balloon is inflated.

CLOSED SUCTION CLEANING DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A closed suction system module is provided. In one embodiment, the closed suction system module includes a coupling member configured to couple to a suction port of a multi-port manifold or endotracheal tube adapter (e.g., dual-port or tri-port adapter). In one embodiment, the closed suction system module includes a suction catheter configured to clean the interior surfaces of body-inserted tubes or artificial airways (alone or in addition to suctioning natural airways or portions of the respiratory tract or other body lumens). The suction catheter may include a cleaning portion at a distal portion of the suction catheter (e.g., near the distal end or tip of the suction catheter). In some embodiments, the cleaning portion includes at least one expandable cleaning member (e.g., balloon, sleeve, wiper).
