Thermoformed mask
Respiratory masks made of thermoformed EVA foam are provided. A mask can include a seal that contacts a user's face in use and a housing permanently joined to the seal. Both the seal and housing can be made of EVA foam. The seal and housing can be made of EVA foam having different densities. The mask can further include a frame removably or permanently coupled the housing. Headgear can be coupled to the frame and can couple the mask to the user's face in use.
Full face respirator mask
A full face respirator mask includes a ring-shaped frame, a transparent face plate connected to an inner periphery of the frame, an air inlet extending through the face plate, and a cushion integrally molded to the frame and having an abutment portion. The frame has top, bottom, left and right parts. At least one protruding plate extends rearwardly and horizontally from the top part. The at least one protruding plate is embedded in the cushion body to push the abutment portion to abut tightly against the face of a user when the full face respirator mask is positioned on the face of the user.
Patient interface systems
A patient interface structure for delivery of respiratory therapy to a patient includes a front plate configured to conform to the shape of the patient's face; a mouth cushion defining a breathing chamber and provided to the front plate and configured to seal around the patient's mouth; and a nasal cushion configured to seal the patient's nasal airways. The nasal cushion is supported by the mouth cushion, does not contact a bridge of the patient's nose in use, and extends at least partially into the breathing chamber. A patient interface system includes a patient interface structure and a patient interface structure positioning system configured to position, stabilize and secure the patient interface structure in sealing engagement with the patient's face.
Positive air pressure mask system
A positive airway pressure mask system is described. The mask is comprised of a non-elastic or non-stretchable headgear, wherein the chin strap of the headgear prevents the jaw of the user from dropping open, thus limiting or preventing mouth breathing at night. The mask has attached or integral with it a nose pillow which has attached nostril feed pieces for directing air directly into the nostrils. This mask is adjustably connected to the non-stretchable headgear at specific locations, allowing for an unlimited number of adjustments to properly fit the mask to an individual's face, providing comfort and efficacy of use.
A PATIENT INTERFACE AND A POSITIONING AND STABILISING STRUCTURE
A patient interface comprises a plenum chamber and at least three plenum chamber inlet ports. A seal-forming structure is arranged to form a seal at least an entrance to the patient's nares and to maintain a therapeutic pressure in the plenum chamber throughout the patient's respiratory cycle. The interface further comprises a positioning and stabilising structure comprising at least four straps, at least three of the straps defining a channel therein, wherein a conduit is provided within each channel. Each conduit comprises an interface connector for connecting the conduit to a respective one of the inlet ports and a connection port for connection, in use, to an air circuit, wherein the connection port is in fluid communication with each of the conduits. The plenum chamber is provided with at least one pressure measurement port. A positioning and stabilising structure is also disclosed.
A FACE SHIELD, PATIENT INTERFACE AND RELATED METHODS AND USES THEREOF
A face shield, patient interface and methods of use thereof are described for improved respiratory therapy of patients. In particular, a face shield is disclosed that acts as a seal when used with a patient interface. The face shield may be manufactured from a low melt temperature hard thermoplastic material. The face shield may be formed initially formed to match the general contours of the face, but not customised to a specific user's face. The face shield may be crosslinked to provide shape memory to the seal and to improve its handling properties and is configured to be thermoformed to a user's face. The face shield may be customised to the patient's facial features to a second customised shape.
Outlet connection assembly
A connection assembly for a respiratory therapy system, comprising: an outlet assembly, said outlet assembly including an outlet housing and a swivelling disc located on said outlet housing, said outlet housing and said swivelling disc defining, at least in part, a recess; an outlet connector located at an end of a tube portion, said outlet connector including an electrical connector; and a cable having a first end to connect to the electrical connector and a second end to connect to at least one electrical component of the respiratory therapy system, said cable having a slack portion, wherein said outlet connector and said swivelling disc are rotatable in unison between a first position and a second position, and wherein the slack portion of the cable extends from the recess and wraps around the swivelling disc as the swivelling disc is rotated from the first position to the second position.
Patient interface systems
A patient interface structure includes a cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's face and a front that is more rigid than the cushion. The cushion includes a forward opening, a rearward opening that is opposite the forward opening and a continuous sealing surface. The continuous sealing surface has a mouth sealing portion configured to seal around the patient's mouth and a nasal sealing portion configured to seal around both of the patient's nasal airways. The front plate includes an air inlet configured to both receive the pressurized respiratory gas and secure headgear to the patient interface structure. In addition, the nasal sealing portion includes at least one aperture that is separate from the rearward opening. Also, the front plate, the mouth sealing portion and the nasal sealing portion together form a common chamber.
Mask system with snap-fit shroud
A shroud for a mask system includes a retaining portion structured to retain a frame, a pair of upper headgear connectors each including an elongated arm and a slot at the free end of the arm adapted to receive a headgear strap, and a pair of lower headgear connectors each adapted to attach to a headgear strap. The retaining portion, the upper headgear connectors, and the lower headgear connectors are integrally formed as a one piece structure.
SELF-OPTIMISING RESPIRATORY THERAPY SYSTEM
A communication system for operation of respiratory pressure therapy devices for treating respiratory disorders of a plurality of patients includes one or more servers configured to communicate with the plurality of respiratory pressure therapy devices. The server(s) are configured to receive communications relating to respiratory therapy delivered to a patient via at least one respiratory pressure therapy device of the plurality of respiratory pressure therapy devices. The server(s) are configured to transmit one or more responsive communications for control of the at least one respiratory pressure device according to a selected action to improve the respiratory therapy. The selected action includes transmitting, from the server(s), a control command to the at least one respiratory pressure therapy device. The responsive communication(s) are generated in response to a compliance prediction that is a score indicating a probability that the patient will be compliant with a predetermined compliance rule.
