VENTILATION MASK
Disclosed is a nasal ventilation mask having separate ports to monitor end-tidal CO.sub.2 expulsion integrated into the mask in order to monitor end-tidal CO.sub.2 expelled nasally or orally. Also disclosed is a CPR mask for nose-to-mouth and/or mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, having a body shaped to cover the nose and/or mouth of a victim, the mask including a CO.sub.2 absorber for eliminating at least in part rescuer's exhaled CO.sub.2 delivered to the victim.
PATIENT INTERFACE HAVING SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE WITH VARYING CONSTRUCTION
A patient interface comprises a seal-forming structure including a textile membrane and a support structure to support the textile membrane. The seal-forming structure may have a varying construction in order to accommodate different regions and the varying contours of the patients face to ensure a robust and comfortable seal. An air impermeable layer of the textile membrane may have a thickness that varies in different portions of the textile membrane and/or different regions of the cushion assembly. Further, the seal-forming structure may include an underlying cushion, and an arrangement of the textile membrane and the underlying cushion and/or the configuration of the underlying cushion may vary in different regions of the cushion assembly to optimize patient comfort and the effectiveness of the seal in different regions of the patients face.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISRUPTING AND PREVENTING SNORE AND SLEEP APNEA
An apparatus and method for disrupting or preventing snore and sleep apnea comprising an inflatable headgear that is configured to be inflated and deflated by an air inflator through a tube, wherein the air inflator is actuated by the control commands sent to a control unit from a processing unit, upon detection of a trigger event by means of a sensor, wherein the movement caused by the inflation and deflation of the inflatable headgear may move the head of a user and disrupt or prevent snore and sleep apnea.
Respirator fixing module
A respirator fixing module applied to a breathing tube includes a cap, a nasal mask structure, a first strap, a second strap, and a third strap. The cap has a first joint; the nasal mask structure has a nasal mask, two first assembling members and a second assembling member extending from the left, the right, and the top sides of the nasal mask respectively, and a communicating pipe and a breathing tube connected to each other; the first strap is installed between the two first assembling members and encircled into a headband; the second strap is connected to the cap, and the second strap has an end surrounding the breathing tube and a second joint adjustably combined with the first joint; and the third strap has an end fixed to the second assembling member and the other end having a third joint adjustably combined with the first joint.
Ultraviolet disinfecting cartridge system
An ultraviolet disinfecting cartridge system utilizes an ultraviolet disinfecting cartridge particularly adapted for coupling with a face mask that covers the nose and mouth or to the inhale and exhale tubing of a patient ventilator. The ultraviolet disinfecting cartridge includes multiple UV light emitters that emit UVGI light into the flow channel of the cartridge to neutralize or destroy pathogens. A plurality of baffles may be configured in the flow channel to create a serpentine airflow to increase pathogen exposure time to UV light. A photocatalyst material such as titanium oxide may be configured within the flow channel that is activated by UV light to increase disinfection. An ionizer may be configured proximal to the inlet to produce charged particles that provide disinfection. Any ozone produced may be mitigated by a catalytic converter to a safe level. Inlet and outlet filters may be detachably attachable to the ultraviolet disinfecting cartridge.
MASK SYSTEM WITH SNAP-FIT SHROUD
A shroud for a mask system includes a retaining portion structured to retain a frame, a pair of upper headgear connectors each including an elongated arm and a slot at the free end of the arm adapted to receive a headgear strap, and a pair of lower headgear connectors each adapted to attach to a headgear strap. The retaining portion, the upper headgear connectors, and the lower headgear connectors are integrally formed as a one piece structure.
Patient interface
A seal-forming structure for a patient interface may include a patient-contacting surface configured to engage the patient's facial skin to form a seal; a posterior opening formed in the patient-contacting surface, the posterior opening configured to provide the flow of air at said therapeutic pressure to the patient's nares; and a support structure extending from the patient contacting surface to an interior surface of the seal-forming structure, the support structure and the interior surface forming a continuous loop, wherein the patient interface is configured to allow the patient to breath from ambient through their mouth in the absence of a flow of pressurised air through the plenum chamber inlet port, or the patient interface is configured to leave the patient's mouth uncovered.
Delivery of respiratory therapy using conduits with varying wall thicknesses
An air delivery system for providing a supply of air from a source of air at positive pressure to an interfacing structure located at the entrance to the airways of a patient includes a manifold adapted to connect with the supply of positive air pressure and at least one tube connected to the manifold and adapted to deliver the supply of air to the interfacing structure. Each tube is structured to allow movement between an open phase in which the tube allows the passage of air and a collapsed phase in which the tube is collapsed. Each tube is structured such that weight of a typical patient's head against bedding apparel is sufficient to collapse the tube from the open phase to the collapsed phase.
RESPIRATORY MASK AND RELATED PORTIONS, COMPONENTS OR SUB-ASSEMBLIES
A respiratory mask for providing positive pressure therapy and a bias-flow venting system configured to reduce discernable draft generated by exhausted air are disclosed herein. The respiratory mask has a ball jointed elbow, one or more detachable forehead pieces and a headgear with a spacer fabric region. The elbow is configured to be removable when oriented to a predetermined position. The forehead pieces are provided in one or more sizes. The spacer fabric region having two or more layers wherein the raw edges are turned to the inside of the layers.
