RESTRIKE IGNITOR
An instant restrike igniter for use with a high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp and having a bleeder circuit including a resistor in parallel with a capacitor. The bleeder circuit in electrical communication with a voltage source. A transformer is in electrical communication with the bleeder circuit. The transformer includes a first winding that is in communication with and powers a lamp and a second winding. A triggering circuit is in electrical communication with the second winding of the transformer and the bleeder circuit. The triggering circuit has a minimum holding current of 50 mA and is configured to discharge the capacitor to generate high voltage pulses that are sent, via the transformer, to the lamp to reignite the lamp after a power interruption that extinguishes the lamp.

Electric fence monitor including a gas discharge lamp
An electric fence monitor is operable to provide an audible and/or visual indicator of an operating condition (i.e., falter no-fault) of an electric fence and electric fence box. The electric fence monitor is operable to remain continuously connected between the electric fence and earth ground during normal operation of the fence. The electric fence monitor includes a gas discharge lamp light source for providing the visual indicator of the operating condition of the electric fence and electric fence box.
High Brightness Laser-Sustained Plasma Broadband Source
A high brightness laser-sustained broadband light source includes a gas containment structure and a pump laser configured to generate a pump beam including illumination of a wavelength at least proximate to a weak absorption line of a neutral gas contained in the gas containment structure. The broadband light source includes one or more anamorphic illumination optics configured to focus the pump beam into an approximately elliptical beam waist positioned in or proximate to the center of the gas containment structure. The broadband light source includes one or more first collection optics configured to collect broadband radiation emitted by the plasma in a direction substantially aligned with a longer axis of the elliptical beam waist.
Metal halide lamp with ceramic discharge vessel
A discharge lamp and a method for forming the lamp, the lamp including a ceramic discharge vessel defining at least part of a cavity containing a metal halide (MH) chemical filling having a power factor of between about 0.75 and 0.85 located within the cavity; and one or more feedthroughs having first and second ends, the first end located in the cavity. The cavity may have an internal length LINT and an internal diameter DINT that are proportional to each other, such that an aspect ratio defined as LINT/DINT is less than or equal to two. The lamp may be started and operated with a probe-start ballast without an internal igniter circuit or without a starting electrode (or internal igniter).

Light irradiation device and flash lamp
To provide a light irradiation device using a plurality of flash lamps in which a structure that can emit high intensity light as a whole and enables a flash lamp to be used for a practical lifetime without increasing an input current to each lamp is adopted. A light emission surface is provided on a distal end on a second electrode introducing part side of a light-emitting tube of a flash lamp including a first electrode introducing part and the second electrode introducing part, and a plurality of flash lamps are arranged in a standing manner on a top plate of a processing chamber so that the light emission surface faces the inside of the processing chamber.
Excimer lamp
An excimer lamp includes a discharge vessel in which a rare gas and a halogen are enclosed. The excimer lamp also includes at least one first electrode and at least one second electrode for generating a dielectric barrier discharge inside the discharge vessel. The discharge vessel has a discharge forming region and a non-discharge region such that discharging takes place in the discharge forming region and no discharging takes place in the non-discharge region. The discharge forming region is formed between the first electrode(s) and the second electrode(s). The non-discharge region communicates with the discharge forming region. The excimer lamp satisfies a following equation:
