Germicidal amalgam lamp with temperature sensor for optimized operation
A germicidal UV amalgam lamp with an elongated tubular lamp body and at least two filaments located on opposite ends of the lamp body. The lamp body is hermetically sealed with a pinch-sealed portion at both opposite ends, confining a gas volume in which a gas discharge can be produced along a discharge path between the filaments. Each filament has two electrical connectors, each including an internal portion connected to the filament and pinch-sealed into the lamp body. Each connector also includes an external portion located outside the lamp body for electrical connection of the lamp to a controlled power supply. The pinch-sealed portion bears a socket with an electrical temperature sensor and at least two electrical connections mounted to the socket. The at least two electrical connections of the temperature sensor are connected in parallel to the electrical connectors of the filament.

Restrike ignitor
An instant restrike igniter for use with a high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp and having a bleeder circuit including a resistor in parallel with a capacitor. The bleeder circuit in electrical communication with a voltage source. A transformer is in electrical communication with the bleeder circuit. The transformer includes a first winding that is in communication with and powers a lamp and a second winding. A triggering circuit is in electrical communication with the second winding of the transformer and the bleeder circuit. The triggering circuit has a minimum holding current of 50 mA and is configured to discharge the capacitor to generate high voltage pulses that are sent, via the transformer, to the lamp to reignite the lamp after a power interruption that extinguishes the lamp.
Method, apparatus and system for providing voltage supply for photoionization detector lamp
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for providing an alternating current (AC) voltage supply for a photoionization detector lamp from a direct current (DC) voltage source are provided. An example apparatus may include a DC voltage to DC voltage (DC/DC) converter circuitry, and a feedback circuitry that is electronically coupled to the DC/DC converter circuitry and converts a reference AC voltage to a feedback DC voltage for the DC/DC converter circuitry. In some examples, the feedback circuitry may be electronically coupled to a DC voltage to AC voltage (DC/AC) converting circuitry to obtain the reference AC voltage.

Discharge lamp and discharge lamp apparatus
A discharge lamp includes a discharge tube containing electrodes, and base sections. The base sections have terminals for connecting to external power lines, and internal power lines for connecting the terminals to the electrodes within the discharge tube. Information generation devices that generates information to be output to outside are provided within the base sections. Superimposition circuits that superpose the information, generated by the information generation devices, on the internal power lines within the base sections are also provided within the base sections. The information generation devices include sensors and generate information based on output of the sensors. A receiving circuit extracts and receives the information, superposed on the internal power lines, from the external power lines connected to the internal power lines. Thus, information generated on the discharge lamp side can be transmitted to outside with a simple construction.
