Flexible exoskeleton mask with inflating seal member

A patient interface, including a mask assembly and a headgear assembly, provides improved facial sealing and improved ease of use. The mask assembly includes an inflating or ballooning seal. The seal can be secured between two portions of a snap-fit exoskeleton. The headgear assembly connects to the mask assembly with flexible straps during course fitting and with more rigid straps following course fitting. The straps include holes that fit over a tapering post on the mask assembly.

HEADGEAR FOR RESPIRATORY THERAPY

Disclosed is a headgear for an interface, comprising a rear loop, a lower side strap extending from the interface to the rear loop, and a pivotable connection. The pivotable connection is located between the lower side strap and the rear loop, or on the lower side strap. The pivotable connection is configured to allow for lateral movement of the lower side strap.

Conduit connector for a patient breathing device

In an embodiment, a connector or connector assembly for attaching a nasal cannula with a gas delivery hose includes a sensor port for a sensor probe positioned near an end of a nasal cannula, which can allow the sensor probe to be placed closer to the patient's nostrils than previous connector parts allowed. The connector can be configured to advantageously allow the nasal cannula to rotate relative to the gas delivery hose, thereby allowing a patient or healthcare provider to untangle or otherwise straighten the hose or the cannula. The connector assembly can be configured to automatically align locking protrusions on a first component with locking recesses on a second component, where insertion of the second component within the first component causes the second component to rotate relative to the first component, thereby aligning the locking protrusions with associated locking recesses.

TEXTILE CONDUIT WITH WINDOWS

A patient interface a positioning and stabilising structure, which includes a gas delivery tube with a tube wall that has an interior passage for flow of pressurized air. A portion of the tube wall includes a patient contacting portion and a non-patient contacting portion. The patient contacting portion includes a layer of textile material or foam material configured to lie against the patient's head. At least a section of the non-patient contacting portion includes of a transparent and/or translucent material. The layer of textile material or foam material is bonded to the transparent and/or translucent material so that the tube wall is formed as a one piece construction. A plane extends generally transverse to longitudinal axis contains both (1) the textile material or foam material and (2) the transparent and/or translucent material, so that the patient may view the interior passage along a transverse axis extending through the plane.

MODULAR PATIENT INTERFACE INCLUDING A JOINT COUPLING MOUTH AND NASAL CUSHIONS
20220395660 · 2022-12-15 ·

A patient interface kit to deliver a flow of air at a positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to an entrance to a patients airways including at least the entrance of a patients nares while the patient is sleeping. The patient interface comprising: a nasal cushion having a nasal cushion opening; a mouth cushion having a mouth cushion opening, the mouth cushion including a flexible joint, positioned above the mouth opening, to selectively connect the nasal cushion to the mouth cushion; and a positioning and stabilizing structure to provide a force to hold the nasal and/or mouth seal-forming structures in a therapeutically effective position on a patient's head, the positioning an stabilizing structure including a nasal headgear including upper straps or conduits and a mouth headgear including lower straps, the mouth headgear being selectively connected to the nasal headgear.

TEXTILE SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE WITH MULTIPLE CURVATURES

A patient interface including a seal-forming structure with a textile membrane that has at least one hole such that the flow of air at a therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patients nares and/or an entrance to the patients mouth. The seal-forming structure is constructed and arranged to maintain the therapeutic pressure in a cavity of a plenum chamber throughout the patients respiratory cycle, in use. The textile membrane includes a first portion that is held in a relaxed state and a second portion that is held in a taut state. The taut state of the second portion is configured to allow the seal-forming structure to include a three-dimensional shape that has multiple curvatures.

POSITIVE AIRWAY PRESSURE (PAP) MASK

A flexible positive airway pressure (PAP) mask body, frame, and cushion are described. The mask body includes prongs that insert through and act upon apertures of the mask frame to connect the mask frame to the mask body. An airtight seal may be created between the mask body and the mask frame by a ball and socket connector, of the mask frame, having an elongated portion that extends through and has an outer perimeter commensurate with an aperture located in the mask body. The mask body may be configured with elongated portions that extend from the mask body chamber and to ends of eye sockets of the user. Headgear may couple to end portions of the mask frame corresponding to the elongated portions of the mask body. When pulling pressure by the headgear, additional contact is created between elongated portions of the mask cushion and the user's face.

The present invention is a nebulizer, aerosol, filter or inhalant handheld system. The device is composed of a non-invasive respiratory circuit with a medication reservoir that has an inlet that is configured to be connected to a gas source. In some embodiments, they include of one or more valves located downstream of the medication reservoir. Some embodiments include one or more filters, such as a bacterial viral filter located on the end of the exhalation port. The valve functions to prevent backflow of exhaled air and/or potential pathogens into the atmosphere. The filter functions to significantly reduce the dispersion of aerosols exhaled into the atmosphere and prevent further spread of potential pathogens. Some embodiment may include one or more pivotable elements allowing some portions of the nebulizer to pivot relative to other members.

Head harness for positioning a patient interface

Disclosed is a set of holding arrangements for a head harness in the region of a patient interface. The set comprises at least two holding arrangements which are distinguishable by identification markings and/or codings and are unambiguously assignable.
