An atomizer for an inhaler includes a housing, a gasket, a liquid absorbing sheet, a wick, and an atomizing element. The housing includes a first housing and a second housing, the first housing and the second housing form a liquid reservoir therebetween for storing liquid. The gasket is sleeved on the first housing, the gasket defines a liquid conducting hole in communication with the liquid reservoir. The liquid absorbing sheet is sleeved on the first housing in contact with the gasket, the liquid absorbing sheet is configured to absorb the liquid in the liquid reservoir via the liquid conducting hole. The wick is in contact with the liquid absorbing sheet and configured to draw the liquid from the liquid absorbing sheet. The atomizing element is fixed to the wick and configured to atomize the liquid in the wick.

Delivery of gases to the nasal airway

A delivery device for and a method of delivering gases to the nasal airway, in particular therapeutic gases and gases in combination with active substances, either as powders or liquids, for enhanced uptake of the active substances.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A HUMIDIFIED AEROSOL TO A PATIENT INTERFACE
20200215292 · 2020-07-09 ·

A method and device are used for administering a humidified aerosol to a patient interface by providing and guiding a first gas flow having a humidified aerosol, a second gas flow having humidified respiratory gases, and a liquid flow of a thermally balancing liquid, thermally balancing the first and second gas flow by parallel guiding the first and second gas flow such that the first and second gas flow are guided in a manner that they are at least partially surrounded by the liquid flow of the thermally balancing liquid, mixing the first and second gas flow to obtain enriched respiratory gases having the humidified aerosol, and administering the enriched respiratory gases to the patient interface. The method and the device avoid the administration of dry or re-dried powdered aerosols and unwanted accumulation of and blockage by powdered material. The device is useful in respiratory support of preterm infants.

CLIP-ON NASAL AIR HUMIDIFYING AND EPISTAXIS-PREVENTION DEVICE AND METHODS FOR USE WITH SUPPLEMENTAL OXYGEN
20200188623 · 2020-06-18 ·

A disposable nasal air moisturizing device is removably attached to a nasal cannula to release a moisturizing liquid into a breathing gas and a patient's nasal airway. The intranasal sponges and moisturizing liquid prevents and treats both abrasions from the nasal cannula and excessive drying of the mucosa. This reduces the incidence of nosebleeds in patients using supplemental nasal oxygen.
