GASEOUS SEALING MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY FOR SURGICAL GAS DELIVERY SYSTEM
A manifold assembly for a surgical gas delivery system is disclosed, which includes a manifold body including an inlet port for receiving gas from an outlet side of a compressor and an outlet port for recirculating gas to an inlet side of the compressor, a bypass valve communicating with the inlet port and the outlet port of the manifold body, an air ventilation valve for dynamically controlling the ingress of air from atmosphere, a smoke evacuation valve for dynamically controlling the egress of gas from the manifold assembly when the gas delivery system is operating in a smoke evacuation mode, and a gas fill for dynamically controlling the receipt of gas from a source of surgical gas.
GAS HEATER FOR SURGICAL GAS DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH GAS SEALED INSUFFLATION AND RECIRCULATION
A gas heater for a surgical gas delivery system is disclosed, which includes an elongated tubular body defining an interior flow passage having an inlet port for receiving insufflation gas from a gas source and an outlet port for delivering heated insufflation gas to an insufflation manifold, a dielectric support positioned within the interior flow passage of the tubular body, and a resistive element operatively associated with the dielectric support for heating insufflation gas flowing through the tubular body from the inlet port to the outlet port.
Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device, in particular a nebulizer or inhaler, for dispensing a fluid includes a cartridge having a collapsible container within which the fluid is disposed, a mechanism to help the collapsing process and to prevent the collapsed container from expanding again, hence preventing the forming of vapor and gas bubbles within, where the mechanism is adapted to pressurize the fluid within the container during withdrawal of the fluid.
Electro-mechanical resuscitating apparatus
The present invention is a mechanical ventilation device which delivers intermittent positive pressure ventilation by compressing AMBU. As the device uses existing AMBU for the ventilation, it is intended to automate the process of hand ventilation and will hence keep the costs and skill requirement low. Due to usage of the AMBU and simple mechanics, it is easy to manufacture and maintain the device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING INFECTIONS WITH NITRIC OXIDE
System and methods for providing nitric oxide can include at least one pair of electrodes configured to generate a product gas containing nitric oxide from a flow of a reactant gas, and at least one controller configured to regulate an amount of nitric oxide in the product gas generated by the at least one pair of electrodes using one or more parameters as an input to the controller. One or more sensors are configured to collect information relating to at least one of patient information, the reactant gas, the product gas, and an inspiratory gas into which at least a portion of the product gas flows, the sensors configured to communicate the information to the controller to be used as the one or more parameters. The patient information includes information relating to a methemoglobin (MetHg) measurement collected from a MetHg sensor.
ABSORPTION SYSTEM AND PROCESS WITH A FILTER UNIT FOR THE ABSORPTION OF GAS FROM A MEDICAL APPARATUS
An absorption system (100) and a process for absorption of gas from a medical apparatus (1) are provided. The absorption system includes a feed line (6), a discharge line (8), a filter unit (4) with a filter and at least one buffer storage device. The feed line establishes a fluid connection between the medical apparatus and the filter unit. The discharge line establishes a fluid connection between the filter unit and a fluid absorption unit (7). The gas is discharged from the medical apparatus and is passed through the feed line to the filter unit and from there through the discharge line to the fluid absorption unit. The filter filters at least one gas component out of the gas that is passed through the filter unit. The one or more buffer storage device absorbs and again discharges gas from time to time.
Manufacturing Method for a Hood Type Ventilation Device
A device for providing a known concentration of blended air and oxygen, or oxygen, to an individual which incorporates a face mask inside a hood, thereby preventing aerosolization of potentially harmful exhaled gases and controlling condensation issues within the hood while under pressurized conditions. The air tight seal required to allow placement and removal of the hood on the individual will be manufactured using injection molded elastomers to over-mold injection molded rigid plastic components.
BREATHING ASSISTANCE DEVICE WITH LINEAR ACTUATED GAS REGULATING VALVE
A breathing assistance device includes a gas regulating valve. The gas regulating valve is operated by a linear actuator. The linear actuator may include a movable member that moves an obstruction member between an open position and a closed position. The linear actuator is isolated from a gas flow path through the valve.
Respiratory ventilatory device and method of operating same
A respiratory ventilator device is described herein. The respiratory ventilator device includes an inhaled air assembly, an exhaled air assembly, and a control system operatively coupled to the inhaled air assembly and the exhaled air assembly. The inhaled air assembly is coupled to a patient respiratory circuit and configured to channel a volume of inhalation air to the patient's lungs to assist in patient inhalation. The exhaled air assembly is coupled to the patient respiratory circuit and configured to remove air from the patient's lungs to assist in a patient exhalation. The control system is configured to operate the respiratory ventilator system in an inhalation mode and an exhalation mode.
VENTILATOR SYSTEMS WITH INTEGRATED OXYGEN DELIVERY, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
The present technology is directed to ventilator systems that can provide both ventilation therapy and oxygen therapy. The systems described herein may include a ventilation assembly that can provide inspiratory gas to a patient circuit and an oxygen assembly that can provide pulses of oxygen to an oxygen delivery circuit. In some embodiments, the oxygen delivery circuit is distinct from the patient circuit. For example, the patient circuit can include a corrugated conduit coupled a ventilation mask, and the oxygen delivery circuit can include a nasal cannula. The ventilation mask can be positioned over the nasal cannula so that the patient can receive both the inspiratory gases and the pulses of oxygen.
