20170354794 · 2017-12-14 ·

Disclosed is a connecting piece for artificial respiration. The connecting piece comprises an opening that faces a ventilation hose, an opening disposed toward a patient interface, and an opening to the atmosphere which can be at least partially closed from the inside by a diaphragm. The connecting piece further has a diaphragm opening for accommodating the diaphragm into the connecting piece, the diaphragm being held via a diaphragm ring that surrounds the connecting piece.

TEXTILE SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE WITH MULTIPLE CURVATURES

A patient interface including a seal-forming structure with an elastomeric membrane that has at least one hole such that the flow of air at a therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patients nares and/or an entrance to the patients mouth. The seal-forming structure is constructed and arranged to maintain the therapeutic pressure in a cavity of a plenum chamber throughout the patients respiratory cycle, in use. The elastomeric membrane includes a first portion that is held in a relaxed state and a second portion that is held in a taut state. The elastomeric membrane is molded to include a three-dimensional shape that has multiple curvatures. The at least one hole includes an arch on a lateral side of the at least one hole, and is in a relaxed state before use. The arch is configured to move to a substantially taut state during use.

DOCTORVOX: VOICE THERAPY AND VOCAL TRAINING DEVICE
20170348504 · 2017-12-07 · ·

This invention relates to a voice therapy and vocal training device (1) which allows to perform both exhalation (phonation and breathing) and inhalation (humidifying and breathing) therapies and to humidify and treat vocal folds of a user. The aim of this invention is to provide a voice therapy and vocal training device (1) which aids in carrying out many features together (all-in-one) such as performing voice trainings, humidification of vocal folds, and being used as an inhalation and a spray device. The voice therapy and vocal training device (1) of the invention prevents water from going down the user's throat during inhalation thanks to its special design.

Tracheal tube apparatus and methods

A tracheal tube includes an inner cannula and an outer cannula that are connected with a threaded connection able to swivel, and wherein the inner cannula is also connected to an elbow adaptor through a Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connection. Both the threaded and the BNC connects provide more secure connections of the corresponding components and are able to withstand greater amounts of force exerted on them without becoming detached from each other. The elbow adapter may further be coupled to a pressure release valve that will alleviate pressure buildup within the tracheal tube.

A device including a first flow channel, a second flow channel and a body part including an inner volume. A first space of the inner volume is adapted to be filled with liquid and a second space of the inner volume is arranged to receive steam. The device further includes means for conveying a gas flow from the steam space of the inner volume via the first flow channel to the outside of the device during inhalation and means for conveying the exhaled gas flow from the outside of the device via the second flow channel to the first space of the inner volume. The device further includes means for measuring a flow and a temperature of an airflow, and means for adjusting the flow of the airflow mechanically and/or automatically. The present disclosure further relates to a method and a system.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR OXYGENATION AND/OR CO2 REMOVAL

Described is an apparatus for oxygenation and/or CO2 clearance of a patient, comprising: a flow source or a connection for a flow source for providing a gas flow, a gas flow modulator, a controller to control the gas flow, wherein the controller is operable to: receive input relating to heart activity and/or trachea gas flow of the patient, and control the gas flow modulator to provide a varying gas flow with one or more oscillating components with a frequency or frequencies based on the heart activity and/or trachea flow of the patient.

MEDICAL AIRWAY DEVICE

A medical airway device includes a housing having at least one breathing circuit port and including an airway filter arranged to filter air flowing through the at least one breathing circuit port. The airway filter includes a layered filter including at least a first separate filter layer and a second separate filter layer being stacked on top of each other so that neighbouring separate filter layers abut each other. The layered filter has a first surface being laminated with a first scrim layer and a second surface being laminated with a second scrim layer. Each separate filter layer is a non-woven fiber layer.
