FLUTE CATHETER AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A catheter for the gentle opening of luminal valves and method of use is disclosed. The catheter comprises a suction lumen and a guidewire within. The suction lumen provides an atraumatic amount of suction force to draw valve leaflets open whereupon the guidewire can be advanced through the now open valve or the contents of the luminal organ beyond the valve can be aspirated into the device. When the guidewire is advanced, the catheter can follow the guide wire beyond the opened valve, thereby allowing retrograde access of luminal organs beyond normally closed valves. The process can be repeated to open a second valve located upstream of a first valve.
EVERSIBLE CATHETER WITH MINIMAL RUBBING FRICTION
A flexible, polymer sleeve is provided that is everted into a body passageway in such a manner as to exert minimal rubbing friction on the internal walls of such passageway. The sleeve is housed within a tube assembly comprising a posterior tube that telescopingly slides into an insertion tube. The sleeve everts over the insertion tube, upon forward pressure applied thereon, as it extends forward into a body passageway, and consequently, causes the posterior tube to retract into the insertion tube. Multiple tubes can be telescoped to support the polymer sleeve and to keep a passageway open for the expelling of urine or body fluids, the insertion of tools, sanitation/antibacterial substances, or for the flow of liquids through the sleeve. The insertion tube can be locked in reference to the sleeve to prevent unintended removal of catheter assembly. Sleeve and tubing are removed by reversing the insertion and eversion movements.
Dual Lumen Cannula with Expandable Lumen
A dual lumen drainage cannula configured for use in a VA ECMO system includes a first drainage tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and at least one aperture in at least one wall of the first drainage tube proximate to the distal end of the first drainage tube, and a second drainage tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and at least one aperture in at least one wall of the second drainage tube proximate to the distal end of the second drainage tube. The first drainage tube passes through the second drainage tube. The dual lumen drainage cannula also includes a sleeve positioned adjacent to an interior wall of the second drainage tube. The sleeve is formed of a flexible material so as to be expandable and collapsible within the second drainage tube.
COLLAPSIBLE MEDICAL DEVICE HAVING AN OPEN LUMEN
The present disclosure provides collapsible medical devices that are formed from a braided tubular member configured to allow the braided tubular member to be terminated into one or more marker bands while maintaining an open lumen from a proximal end to a distal end. The collapsible medical device including the braided tubular member can be easily pulled down into a delivery sheath or other delivery device so that it is suitable for use with a number of delivery devices. The marker bands, which provide one or more attachment points for a medical device/delivery system, are positioned at one or more locations on the braid such that the braid is fixed and cannot unravel, thus preventing entanglement between individual braid wires and malformation of the device.
Collapsible nasal ejecting catheter
A catheter, including a catheter body and a connector, can be adapted to a syringe for nasal flushing treatment. The catheter body is made of a soft material and has a flat closed distal end, a transitional segment having a flat closed segment and a lumen-containing oval segment, a circular normal segment and an open end on the opposite side of the flat closed distal end as well as multiple side-holes disposed near the closed end so that the catheter can be operated by patient to insert into a slit space of nasal cavity smaller than the diameter of the circular normal segment.
Expandable introducer sheath for medical device
An expandable medical sheath can include a sheath body having a lumen that extends between proximal and distal ends of the sheath. The sheath can have first and second members where the first member has a different elastic modulus than the second member such that one provides elasticity to the sheath and the other provides column strength. The first and second members can be coupled together in alternating sections to form the tubular sheath or the stiffer members can be embedded in the elastic member along all or a portion of the longitudinal length of the sheath. The sheath can automatically move to an expanded state to allow a larger diameter medical device to pass through the lumen, and once through the sheath can automatically return to its initial diameter.
CATHETER
A catheter that includes an inner layer forming the inner surface of a tubular catheter main body having a lumen, an outer layer forming the outer surface of the catheter main body, and multiple reinforcements embedded between the inner surface and the outer surface. The inner diameter of the catheter main body is D1, the outer diameter is D2, the wall thickness is T1, a thickness of each reinforcement is T2, an effective width of each reinforcement is W, and a total number of the multiple reinforcements is N. The catheter satisfies Expressions (1), (2), and (3):

Implantable infusion pumping catheter
In some examples, an implantable infusion device (100) using a piezoelectric and/or electrostrictive mechanical pumping catheter (10) includes a reservoir (109) configured to retain for a fluid to be dispensed within a patient, at least one piezoelectric and/or electrostrictive mechanical pumping catheter for dispensing the fluid contained within the reservoir, a transceiver, and a processor (103) to regulate control the operation of the piezoelectric and/or electrostrictive mechanical pumping catheter.
PERCUTANEOUS HEART PUMP TRANSITIONABLE BETWEEN SEPARATED AND OPERATIONAL CONFIGURATIONS
Disclosed herein is a catheter pump that includes an expandable cannula and an impeller system. The expandable cannula defines a blood flow channel and includes an impeller blade zone, an inlet zone, and an outlet zone. The catheter pump further includes an impeller system including an impeller body, the impeller system movable relative to the expandable cannula along a longitudinal axis of the catheter pump. The catheter pump is selectively transitionable between a separated configuration in which the impeller body is axially spaced from the expandable cannula along the longitudinal axis, and an operational configuration in which the impeller body is positioned within the impeller blade zone of the expandable cannula.
