Urinary-Catheter Packages and Methods Thereof
A urinary-catheter package (100) includes a container (120) including a urinary catheter (110) and a lubricant (140). The urinary catheter includes a catheter tube (112) and a drainage lumen extending through the urinary catheter, the drainage lumen fluidly coupling a plurality of eyelets in a distal-end portion of the catheter tube with an opening in a proximal end of the urinary catheter. The container includes a catheter section (122), a lubricant section (124) in a distal-end portion of the container, and a separator (126) between the catheter section and the lubricant section. The catheter section is configured to hold the urinary catheter, and the lubricant section is configured to hold the lubricant. The separator is configured to separate the lubricant in the lubricant section from the urinary catheter in the catheter section until the separator is broken by a user.
URETHRAL CATHETER CAPABLE OF SMOOTHLY PASSING THROUGH URETHRAL STENOSIS SECTION
A urethral catheter. A cavity is formed at the head end of the urethral catheter, and an internal span of the cavity is greater than that of an opening. A check device (2) located at the front end of a guide core (5) is received in the cavity, and the check device (2) is a guide core (5) that can be retracted into a guide core catheter (4) and can move within the guide core catheter (4). The guide core (5) can expand outward after moving out of the guide core catheter (4). The span of the top of the expanded guide core (5) is greater than the outer diameter of the opening of the cavity at the head end of the urethral catheter. The urethral catheter eliminates a guide extension inserted inside the urethral catheter, and avoids any structural parts provided in the front end of the urethral catheter, and no accessory device is provided at the inner side of the catheter wall of the conventional urethral catheter, so that the internal urination cross-sectional area of the urethral catheter is the same as the area of the inner holes of the urethral catheter, thereby greatly increasing the urine output of the urethral catheter and greatly reducing the injection resistance of a lubricant.
INTERMITTENT URINARY CATHETER ASSEMBLY COMPRISING SENSOR ELEMENT
An intermittent urinary catheterisation assembly (1) for self-catheterisation comprises an intermittent urinary catheter (5) comprising a catheter tube. The catheter further comprises a conduit (4) extending longitudinally within the catheter tube and defining at least part of a flow path from a distal insertion end of the catheter to a proximal outlet end thereof, a measuring system for determining at least one fluid parameter in the flow path. The measuring system comprises at least one sensor element (35) configured to determine the at least one fluid parameter in the conduit and/or in a space in communication with the conduit and a signal processing device. In one aspect, the signal processing device comprises is detachable secured in relation to the connecting portion of the intermittent urinary catheter. In another aspect, the measuring system is securely connected to or integrated with the non-insertable portion of the catheter tube.
INTERMITTENT CATHETERS
The invention provides an intermittent catheter comprising a hollow polymeric tubular body comprising a base polymer and a layer comprising a lubricious additive on or comprising a surface of the body, wherein the lubricious additive comprises an amphiphilic molecule.
INTERMITTENT CATHETERS
The invention provides an intermittent catheter comprising a hollow polymeric tubular body comprising a base polymer and a lubricious additive, wherein the lubricious additive comprises an amphiphilic molecule having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance below 8.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR RESTORING TISSUE
An apparatus and methods for tissue restoration are provided. The apparatus may include a catheter shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal tip, the catheter shaft defining lumens including an inflation lumen and a light fiber lumen, a coated balloon positioned on a translucent distal segment of the catheter shaft proximal to the distal tip in fluid communication with the inflation lumen, the coated distal balloon comprising a translucent material and a coated material on an outer surface of the coated balloon, and a light fiber positioned in the catheter shaft in the light fiber lumen and extending through the translucent distal segment.
Aspiration catheter systems and methods of use
A method of performing a medical procedure in a cerebral vessel of a patient including advancing a first catheter system towards an embolus within a cerebral blood vessel and a second catheter system towards the embolus through the first catheter, applying aspiration pressure through the lumen of the second catheter; anchoring a distal end of the second catheter onto the embolus via the aspiration pressure; applying a proximally-directed force on the second catheter; and advancing the first catheter over the second catheter towards the embolus while the distal end of the second catheter remains anchored onto the embolus; and automatically applying aspiration pressure within the first catheter upon the second catheter portion entering into the first catheter.
METHOD OF REMOVING EMBOLIC MATERIAL WITH THROMBUS ENGAGEMENT TOOL
A method of removing embolic material from a vessel with mechanical and aspiration assistance. The method comprises the steps of providing an aspiration catheter having a central lumen and a distal end, advancing the distal end of the aspiration catheter to obstructive material in a vessel, applying vacuum to the central lumen to draw clot into the central lumen, introducing a thrombus engagement tool into the central lumen, and manually manipulating the tip to engage clot between the tip and an inside wall of the central lumen.
CATHETER WITH MULTIPLE BRAID LAYERS
Embodiments herein relate to catheters including multiple braid layers. In an embodiment, a catheter is included having a catheter body, the catheter body can include a proximal end portion; a distal end portion; an inner liner; and a braided structure, the braided structure can include an inner braid layer, the inner braid layer can include a first set of inner wires; and a second set of inner wires; an outer braid layer, the outer braid layer can include a first set of outer wires; and a second set of outer wires; wherein the braided structure is disposed over the inner liner; wherein the first set of inner wires are larger than the second set of inner wires; and wherein the first set of outer wires are larger than the second set of outer wires. Other embodiments are also included herein.
Intravascular device delivery sheath
An intravascular delivery system includes a delivery sheath capable of transmitting a predetermined tension or compression force in a longitudinal direction while maintaining flexibility to navigate tortuous anatomy. A method of delivering a medical device includes inserting an intravascular device delivery system including a delivery sheath having a continuous spine into a bodily lumen. A distal longitudinal force is applied to the delivery sheath. The distal force is transmitted through the continuous spine and across one or more slit cuts of the delivery sheath. A proximal longitudinal force is applied to the delivery sheath. The proximal longitudinal force is transmitted through the continuous spine of the delivery sheath.
