Bypass catheter
11596769 · 2023-03-07 ·

A surgical apparatus for treating a blood clot in a vessel of a patient having an elongated member having an outer wall, a first hole at a distal portion and a second hole spaced proximally from the first hole positioned in a side wall. A first lumen is provided within the elongated member for blood flow through the second hole, through the lumen and exiting the first hole to maintain blood flow during treatment of the blood clot. An energy emitter emits energy to the blood clot or hardenings and a connector connects the energy emitter to an external energy source, wherein blood flows into the second hole positioned proximal of the blood clot and exits the first hole distal of the blood clot during activation of the energy emitter. In some instances when the apparatus is introduced from a retrograde ‘upstream” approach blood may flow through the device in the opposite direction.

CATHETER

A catheter for insertion into a vessel of a subject, the catheter including an elongate body extending between a proximal end configured to be attached to a hub and a distal end configured to be inserted into the vessel of the subject, the body having, a tip portion at the distal end, the tip portion having an external tapered profile and including an outlet and a lumen extending from the proximal end to the outlet. The lumen is angled to direct flow from the outlet at an angle offset from an axis of the catheter and/or at least part of the body includes a vessel contacting portion that is softer than other parts of the catheter.

The present disclosure discloses a nephrostomy tube and a nephrostomy tube with curved drainage. The nephrostomy tube with curved drainage includes a bending head, a balloon element, and an elongated main body integrally connected with each other, wherein the nephrostomy tube with curved drainage has an guiding channel adapted for a guiding member to penetrate through, wherein the bending head has a first inner channel and at least two drainage bending channels located on the outer side of the first inner channel, wherein the balloon element has an air chamber and a second inner channel, wherein the at least two drainage bending channels are communicated with the second inner channel, wherein the elongated main body has a third inner channel communicated with the second inner channel of the balloon element, wherein the first inner channel, the second inner channel and the third inner channel from the guiding channel.

DERMAL INFUSION HANDPIECE WITH IMPROVED DELIVERY HEAD
20230067329 · 2023-03-02 · ·

A dermal treatment handpiece has a body with proximal and distal ends, a jet spray delivery head formed at the distal end of the body and connected to sources of a liquid suspension of a therapeutic agent and of a pressurized gas for a selectable combined supply thereof to the jet spray delivery head. The jet spray delivery head has a base formed at the distal end of the body, a localized environmental jet spray isolation chamber extending from the base to a distal exit port, a nozzle extending into the isolation chamber from the base, connected to a combined inflow of the liquid suspension and the pressurized gas, and one or more tubes mounted within the nozzle for receiving the combined inflow, each tube having a delivery tip extending into the isolation chamber for emitting a high pressure, high velocity jet spray along a delivery axis in response to receiving the combined inflow.

Direct stream hydrodynamic catheter system

A direct stream hydrodynamic catheter system is provided for the removal of thrombus, lesions and the like including provisions for the infusion of drugs, lysing fluids and the like into a blood vessel. Physician controlled powered direct fluid jet streams emanate from a fluid jet emanatory in the form of robust radially directed fluid jet streams to impinge upon and ablate difficult and strong thrombus and lesions within a blood vessel. Effluent aspiration is controlled by an exhaust regulator in the form of a roller pump, but effluent removal can be assistingly influenced by the fluid pressure associated with the radially directed fluid jet streams.

CATHETER WITH AN ASYMMETRIC TIP

A catheter may include a catheter body, which may include a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen formed by an inner wall of the catheter body that extends between the proximal end and the distal end along a longitudinal axis. The distal end of the catheter body may include a distal lumen opening disposed on the longitudinal axis. The distal end may also include a leading edge. The leading edge may form the distal lumen opening and may include an upper and a lower portion. The lower portion of the leading edge may be disposed distally to the upper portion of the leading edge.

EMBOLIZATION MICROCATHETER

Microcatheter for delivering a substance (e.g., infusion agent including embolization material and/or contrast enhancing material) in a small blood vessel towards a target bodily part. Includes a single lumen surrounded by tubular wall having outer diameter and opened at both ends; tubular wall proximal portion is connectable to a pressure source and reservoir containing infusion agent, and tubular wall distal portion ends with a tip; the tubular wall distal portion includes an infusion agent flow disruption section configured to disrupt passage therethrough of incoming retrograded flow of infusion agent, during continuous delivery of infusion suspension from the reservoir to the tip. Disclosed are methods using the microcatheter for performing local embolization in a small blood vessel feeding a (for example, cancerous) target bodily part, and for delivering infusion agent in a small blood vessel towards such target bodily part. Also disclosed are devices and methods for filtering non-target infusion agent.

Catheter with tapered self-introducing low-recirculation distal tip

Disclosed is a multi-lumen catheter having a distal end catheter tip configured to improve fluid flow into and out from the catheter tip while reducing undesired recirculation during hemodialysis treatment of a patient. A first lumen and a second lumen each extends from the catheter proximal end to the catheter distal end, the first lumen and the second lumen being parallel to each other. A septum having a first side and a second side separates the first lumen from the second lumen. Some embodiments of the catheter tip include a beveled shape region, having a first lumen orifice, a second lumen orifice, and a septum top surface. Within the beveled shape region, at least a portion of the septum first side and at least a portion of the septum top surface form a first eave over the first lumen and at least a portion of the septum second side and at least a portion of the septum top surface form a second eave over the second lumen.
