PERI-VASCULAR TISSUE ABLATION CATHETER WITH SUPPORT STRUCTURES

An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular and/or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, and/or nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. The system may also include a means to limit and/or adjust the depth of penetration of the ablative fluid into and beyond the tissue of the vessel wall. The catheter may also include structures which provide radial and/or lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes expand uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened injection needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall.

Instrument delivery device having a multi-position rotary element

A delivery device for delivering an instrument through an intravenous catheter may include a housing, a rotary element disposed within the housing, and the instrument. In some embodiments, the rotary element may include a groove, which may extend around at least a portion of a circumference of the rotary element. In some embodiments, the instrument may be disposed within the groove and/or between the rotary element and the housing. In some embodiments, in response to rotation of the rotary element with respect to the housing, the instrument may be advanced distally through a port of the housing. In some embodiments, the instrument may include a guidewire, a probe, tubing, or a light tube.

Diagnostic imaging catheter

A diagnostic imaging catheter includes a drive shaft provided with a signal transmitting and receiving unit at a distal portion thereof and which is rotatable and movable forward and backward, a sheath into which the drive shaft is inserted, a relay connector coupled to a proximal end of the sheath, a support tube provided at an outer circumference of the drive shaft along an axial direction and which moves forward and backward in conjunction with the drive shaft, a seal member provided inside the relay connector and which seals a space between the relay connector and the support tube, and an injection opening located in a region closer to a distal side than the seal member and closer to a proximal side than a distal end of the support tube in a backward movement limit position thereof and via which a liquid is able to be injected into the sheath.

Methods for accessing pedal veins

A launching catheter for targeting a second vessel from a first vessel includes a catheter including a proximal portion and a distal portion including a needle aperture and a flat rectangular radiopaque marker. The flat rectangular radiopaque marker disappears under fluoroscopy upon rotation to provide information about rotational alignment of the launching catheter. The launching catheter includes a needle configured to extend through the needle aperture. A method of aligning the catheter includes rotating the catheter in a first blood vessel until the marker has a thickness (e.g., minimal thickness) under fluoroscopy. The thickness indicates rotational alignment of the catheter.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR DELIVERING THERAPEUTIC MATERIALS TO THE INTERVERTEBRAL DISC

A method of delivering a therapeutic agent to a nucleus pulposus of an intervertebral disc is provided. The method comprises inserting a delivery tool containing the therapeutic agent through an anterior portion, a lateral portion, or an anterolateral portion of an annulus fibrosus and into the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral disc and delivering the therapeutic agent to the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral disc. Devices and kits are also provided.

DRUG SOLUTION INJECTION DEVICE

A drug solution injection device includes: a catheter that has a hollow shaft, a hollow needle portion disposed on a distal end of the hollow shaft, and a lumen formed inside each of the hollow shaft and the needle portion and containing a drug solution; and a wire that is inserted into the lumen and is advanced from a proximal end of the lumen toward a distal end side so as to discharge the drug solution in the lumen from a distal end of the needle portion.

MEDICAL INSTRUMENT AND MEDICAL METHOD FOR LOCALIZED DRUG DELIVERY

Disclosed herein are medical instrument and medical method for localized drug delivery. The medical instrument can comprise a catheter shaft assembly, a hub coupled to the proximal end of the catheter shaft assembly, an inflatable component at the distal end of the catheter shaft assembly, a tissue penetrating member coupled to the inflatable component in an orientation transverse to the longitudinal axis of the catheter shaft assembly, and at least one protective element coupled to the inflatable component in proximity to the tissue penetrating member. The protective element can be configured to prevent any damage of the inflatable body during a placement of the medical instrument and an actuation of the inflatable component.

FENESTRATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

An endoluminal access device including an outer sheath defining a lumen and a guide assembly. The guide assembly includes an expandable portion configured to be transitioned between a collapsed configuration having a first diameter and an expanded configuration having a second diameter that is greater than the first diameter. The expandable portion includes a first arm defining a first lumen and an aperture in communication with the first lumen. The expandable portion is configured to expand outwardly from a central longitudinal axis when the expandable portion transitions to the expanded configuration and to deflect inwardly toward the central longitudinal axis when the expandable portion is transitioned to the collapsed configuration. The endoluminal access device further includes an endoluminal tool deliverable from the first lumen of the first arm and outwardly from the aperture of the first arm.

Apparatus for delivering fluid to treat renal hypertension
11185663 · 2021-11-30 · ·

A surgical apparatus for delivering fluid to treat renal hypertension including an elongated member having a distal tip and a plurality of openings formed in a sidewall proximal of the distal tip. A plurality of fluid delivery members are movably positioned in the elongated member, each of the fluid delivery members having a lumen and at least one opening communicating with the lumen for delivering fluid extravascularly. An actuator is operatively associated with the fluid delivery members, the actuator actuable to a first position to move the fluid delivery members from a retracted position within the elongated member to a deployed position extending radially with respect to the elongated member. A balloon is expandable radially from the elongated member to seal the renal artery during application of fluid through the fluid delivery members.

System and method for delivery of therapeutic agent through a catheter
11179545 · 2021-11-23 ·

A system and method for delivering a therapeutic agent such as filler materials, biocompatible gels, and other substances through a catheter. The therapeutic agent can be a single component or multiple components that are delivered separately or mixed just prior to delivery or at the delivery site. The system and method use an automated delivery mechanism to maximize delivery of the therapeutic agent to the target tissue and minimize loss of the therapeutic agent within the catheter. The system and method are particularly useful for interventional approaches that deliver therapeutic agents to the wall of the heart.
