The present disclosure relates to antioxidant for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell electrode catalyst, which includes cerium hydrogen phosphate (HCe.sub.2(PO.sub.4).sub.3(H.sub.2O)) in the form of a nanofiber, and an electrode and a membrane-electrode assembly including the same. The electrode for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell of the present disclosure, wherein the antioxidant is dispersed, can improve the mechanical strength of an electrode catalyst layer and can minimize deterioration of chemical durability even after long-term operation. And, a fuel cell including the same can exhibit high output performance and can operate stably even after long-term operation.

A blended material is interwoven throughout the plurality of active components and configured to inhibit growth of Lithium (Li) dendritic structures from the anode to the cathode. The blended material includes a combination of crystalline sp.sup.2-bound carbon domains of graphene sheets and a plurality of flexible wrinkle areas positioned at joinder points of two of more of the crystalline sp.sup.2-bound carbon domains of graphene sheets and a polymeric matrix configured to bind the plurality of active components and the blended material together. An electrolyte is in contact with the hybrid A-SEI and the cathode and a separator is positioned between the anode and the cathode. The blended material includes curable carboxylate salts of metals.

Fuel cell

A fuel cell comprises an anode, a cathode, and a solid electrolyte layer disposed between the anode and the cathode. The cathode includes a main phase configured by a perovskite oxide including at least one of La or Sr at the A site and that is expressed by the general formula ABO.sub.3, and a secondary phase configured by strontium oxide. The occupied surface area ratio of the secondary phase in a cross section of the cathode is greater than or equal to 0.05% and less than or equal to 3%.

Fuel Cell, Fuel Cell System and Method for Producing Fuel Cell

An object of the invention is to increase the output power of a solid oxide fuel cell by making a lower electrode layer porous so as to form a three-phase interface and reducing a thickness of a solid electrolyte layer to 1 micrometer or less. A fuel cell according to the invention includes a first electrode layer at a position where an opening formed in a board is covered, and a solid electrolyte layer having a thickness of 1000 nm or less. At least a part of a region of the first electrode layer covering the opening is porous (see FIG. 5).
