Battery cover assembly, single-cell battery, battery module, power battery pack, and electric vehicle
A battery cover assembly includes a cover plate, an electrode inner terminal and an electrode outer terminal. The electrode inner terminal is electrically connected to the electrode outer terminal through a current interrupt structure disposed on the cover plate. The current interrupt structure includes a sealed chamber configured to fill a gas-producing medium therein. The sealed chamber is configured to make the gas-producing medium to be electrically connected to positive electrodes and negative electrodes of a battery. When a voltage difference between the positive electrodes and negative electrodes of the battery exceeds a rated value, the gas-producing medium is capable of producing gas, to disrupt the electrical connection between the electrode inner terminal and the electrode outer terminal under the action of the pressure of the gas.

The metal anode and/or single cell housing is placed in a closed transitional housing. The transitional housing is a degradable material or can be mechanically damaged by a driving device driven and started by a control device.
THERMAL INSULATION OF A BATTERY HAVING AN ELEVATED OPERATING TEMPERATURE
A battery housing including at least one interior space for accommodating at least one battery, and including at least one contact element which, in a connection position, establishes a connection to a counter-contact element, the connection passing through the battery housing out of the interior space and/or into the interior space, the connection being cut off in an out-of-contact position with the counter-contact element, the counter-contact element being situated on an insulation component movable relative to the battery housing, which is movable from a first position, in which the counter-contact element and the contact element are in the connection position, into a second position, in which the counter-contact element and the contact element are in the out-of-contact position, the contact element being thermally insulated in the out-of-contact position by the insulation component.
Surface-treated metal plate, cell container, and cell
A surface-treated metal plate including: a metal plate; and a nickel-cobalt binary alloy layer formed on the metal plate. When a part having a content ratio of oxygen atoms of 5 atomic % or more as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analysis is an oxide coating film, the nickel-cobalt binary alloy layer contains the oxide coating film with a thickness of 0.5 to 30 nm on a surface thereof, and when a pressure cooker test including temperature increasing, retention for 72 hours under a water-vapor atmosphere at a temperature of 105° C. and a relative humidity of 100% RH, and temperature decreasing is performed, the amount of increase in the thickness of the oxide coating film is 28 nm or less.

Safely ingestible batteries
A battery for use in electronic devices and which is safely ingested into a body and a related method of making the battery. The battery includes an anode, a cathode and a quantum tunneling composite coating. The quantum tunneling composite coating covers at least a portion of at least one of the anode or the cathode and provides pressure sensitive conductive properties to the battery including a compressive stress threshold for conduction. The compressive stress threshold may be greater than a pre-determined applied stress in a digestive tract of the body in order to prevent harm if the battery is ingested. The battery may include a waterproof seal that extends between the quantum tunneling composite coating and a gasket separating the anode and cathode to inhibit the battery from short circuiting in a conductive fluid below the compressive stress threshold.
