ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING BATTERY
An electronic device including a battery is disclosed. According to an example embodiment, the electronic device may include: a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed inside the housing, and a battery disposed inside the housing and configured to supply power to the electronic device. The battery may include: an electrode assembly including a plurality of substrates having a surface coated with a mixture layer, the plurality of substrates being stacked and insulated through a separator and including a pouch in which the electrode assembly is disposed, a protective frame disposed in the pouch and configured to protect the electrode assembly from an external impact, and a protection circuit module (PCM) comprising circuitry connected to the battery cell and electrically connected to the PCB. The protective frame may include: a central portion disposed to cross an inside of the electrode assembly in a direction perpendicular to a stacking direction of the substrates, and at least one cover connected to at least one end of the central portion and extending in a direction parallel to the stacking direction to surround at least a portion of an outer surface of the electrode assembly.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING BATTERY
An electronic device including a battery is disclosed. According to an example embodiment, the electronic device may include: a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed inside the housing, and a battery disposed inside the housing and configured to supply power to the electronic device. The battery may include: an electrode assembly including a plurality of substrates having a surface coated with a mixture layer, the plurality of substrates being stacked and insulated through a separator and including a pouch in which the electrode assembly is disposed, a protective frame disposed in the pouch and configured to protect the electrode assembly from an external impact, and a protection circuit module (PCM) comprising circuitry connected to the battery cell and electrically connected to the PCB. The protective frame may include: a central portion disposed to cross an inside of the electrode assembly in a direction perpendicular to a stacking direction of the substrates, and at least one cover connected to at least one end of the central portion and extending in a direction parallel to the stacking direction to surround at least a portion of an outer surface of the electrode assembly.
BATTERY
A battery is provided in which a damage on an electrode tab group is suitably inhibited. In one suitable embodiment of the battery herein disclosed, an insulating member is provided on a sealing plate. An insulation sheet arranged to cover an electrode body is joined to the insulating member, and the insulation sheet includes a sheet bottom wall, a pair of sheet first side walls that are configured to extend from the sheet bottom wall and are opposed mutually, and a pair of sheet second side walls that extend from the sheet bottom wall and are opposed mutually.
BATTERY
A battery is provided in which a damage on an electrode tab group is suitably inhibited. In one suitable embodiment of the battery herein disclosed, an insulating member is provided on a sealing plate. An insulation sheet arranged to cover an electrode body is joined to the insulating member, and the insulation sheet includes a sheet bottom wall, a pair of sheet first side walls that are configured to extend from the sheet bottom wall and are opposed mutually, and a pair of sheet second side walls that extend from the sheet bottom wall and are opposed mutually.

Disclosed is a battery cell, which includes a battery case, a battery assembly accommodated in the battery case, an electrode lead electrically connected to the battery assembly and configured to protrude out of the battery case, an electrode tab disposed in the battery case and configured to protrude from the battery assembly to connect the electrode lead and the battery assembly, and a tab protection unit configured to at least partially surround an outer surface of the battery case corresponding to a portion where the electrode tab is disposed.

Exemplary electrical disconnects may include a housing defining a first access at a first end of the housing and a second access at a second end of the housing. The second access may extend vertically along a height of the housing beyond a vertical location of the first access. The electrical disconnects may include a busbar characterized by a first segment and a second segment. The first segment and the second segment may be coupled at a break section of the busbar. The first segment of the busbar may extend through the first access of the housing. The second segment of the busbar may extend through the second access of the housing. The electrical disconnects may include a pyrotechnic initiator disposed within the housing. The electrical disconnects may include a blade laterally aligned with the break section of the busbar. The electrical disconnects may include a plunger within which the blade is seated.

Exemplary electrical disconnects may include a housing defining a first access at a first end of the housing and a second access at a second end of the housing. The second access may extend vertically along a height of the housing beyond a vertical location of the first access. A battery including a composite electrode protection layer and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The battery includes a negative electrode that includes a current collector containing a conductive material, an anode active material positioned on a surface of the current collector and containing metallic lithium, and a protection layer covering an exposed surface of the anode active material and the protection layer may include a polymer-ceramic composite material containing an ultraviolet cured resin or electron-beam cured resin and a ceramic.
