A button-type secondary battery includes an electrode assembly in which electrodes and a separator are layered and wound, electrode tabs having different polarities protrude from top and bottom surfaces of the electrode assembly, respectively; a can including a bottom part with the electrode assembly disposed thereon and connected to one electrode tab, and a sidewall vertically extending along a circumference of the bottom part around the electrode assembly; and a top cap assembly with a terminal part connected to the other electrode tab and a plate coupled to be insulated from the terminal part and having an edge coupled to an upper end of the sidewall such that the top cap assembly is coupled to the can to close the can. An end of an edge of the plate is welded to be coupled after being seated on a point that meets the upper end of the sidewall.

Provided is a rectangular secondary battery with improved rigidity against vibrations and impacts. A rectangular secondary battery of the present invention includes: a flat-shaped electrode group; a current-collecting plate electrically connected to the electrode group; a battery case accommodating the current-collecting plate and the electrode group; a battery cover that closes an opening of the battery case; an electrode terminal penetrating through the battery cover, the electrode terminal being connected to the current-collecting plate via a connecting member; and a gasket that is inserted between the electrode terminal and the battery cover for insulating and sealing. An insulator is disposed between the current-collecting plate and the battery cover, the battery cover includes a battery cover side fixing part that fixes the insulator, and the insulator includes a current-collecting plate side fixing part that fixes the current-collecting plate.

A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly to which an electrode lead is coupled; a pouch comprising an accommodation part configured to accommodate the electrode assembly with a front end of the electrode lead withdrawn to the outside, and a sealing part formed along a circumference of the accommodation part to seal the accommodation part; and a gas discharge part provided in the pouch to discharge a gas from the inside to the outside of the pouch and block an inflow of moisture from the outside to the inside of the pouch, wherein the gas discharge part comprises: a gas transmitting film having air permeability, by which the gas inside the accommodation part is discharged to the outside; and a moisture absorbing material that absorbs the passing through the gas transmitting film to block the inflow of the moisture from the outside to the inside of the pouch.

A battery includes a case, in which a battery module, a battery management system and a junction terminal block are received. The battery module has cell blocks electrically connected in series, and each of the cell blocks has electrodes. The junction terminal block has a plurality of junction terminals to be electrically connected to the electrodes of the cell blocks through a plurality of junction wires respectively. The battery further has an external connector having a plurality of external terminals to be electrically connected to the junction terminals of the junction terminal block through a plurality of external wires. The external terminals of the external connector are electrically connected to the cell blocks through the external wires, the junction terminals of the junction terminal block and the junction wires respectively, so that all the cell blocks are able to be charged individually through the external connector.
