BATTERY DEVICE
A battery device, in particular a battery device for a hand-held power tool, is provided which includes at least one highly functional energy storage unit.
Battery holder
In a battery holder for mounting a battery in a surveying instrument, the battery comprises contacts on a front end surface and attachment grooves formed on both side surfaces along a lower surface thereof, wherein the battery holder comprises a flange part and a battery case which extends from the flange part, wherein the battery case comprises locking pieces which are formed like a cantilever at positions corresponding to the attachment grooves on both side surfaces respectively, wherein, by fitting the battery in the battery case, the locking pieces engage with the attachment grooves through an elastic displacement, and the locking pieces hold the battery in the battery case, and wherein, by inserting the battery holder into a power supply unit storage of the surveying instrument, the locking pieces abut on a member on the power supply unit storage side, and the elastic displacement of the locking pieces is restrained.
SELF-LOCKING LATCH OF AN ADAPTER APPARATUS
An adapter apparatus for connecting a rechargeable battery to a power tool, containing a latching device for latching the adapter apparatus together with the power tool; and a locking device for locking the latching device is disclosed. The latching device is adjustable reversibly from a first position into a second position, wherein, in the first position, the adapter apparatus is firmly connected to the power tool and, in the second position, the adapter apparatus is detachable from the power tool, and the locking device is adjustable reversibly from a first position into a second position, wherein, in the first position, the locking device locks the latching device in the first position and, in the second position, the locking device does not lock the latching device and so the latching device is movable from the first position into the second position.
Battery pack
A battery pack comprises a first battery cell and a second battery cell; the first and second battery cells each have a size within a manufacturing tolerance. A housing comprises at least one wall defining a first hole and a second hole, each hole for receiving one of the first or second battery cells, each hole having a size corresponding to a minimum size within the manufacturing tolerance. There is a flexibly resilient portion moveable between a rest position and a clamping position whereby the flexibly resilient portion clamps against at least one of the first and second battery cells when one of the first or second battery cells has a size greater than the minimum size within the manufacturing tolerance.
Power tool and system
Batteries having different form factors and power tools that are capable of using such batteries are described. In some embodiments, a power tool may use batteries having a post form factor as well as batteries having a slide form factor.

Battery spacer
A battery spacer comprises: a cylindrical case body into which a battery is inserted; a bottom wall portion with which an anode-side end of the battery is to come into contact, the bottom wall portion having an anode exposure hole from which a negative terminal of the battery is partially exposed; an annular top wall member that is located opposite to the bottom wall portion 8 and has a central opening into which the battery is inserted; a plurality of anode-side catching pieces that have anode-side engagement hooks extending from the circumference of the anode exposure hole toward the interior of the case body and engaging with an anode-side outer peripheral surface of the battery, and hold the anode side of the battery; and a plurality of cathode-side catching pieces that have cathode-side engagement hooks extending from the circumference of a central opening toward the interior of the case body and engaging with a cathode-side outer peripheral surface of the battery, and hold the cathode side of the battery.
Water resistant battery box
A water resistant battery box for use with electronic faucets. The battery box includes a lower housing, a cover supported by the lower housing, and an upper housing positioned between the lower housing and the cover. The upper housing includes a lip seal cooperating with the lower housing to prevent water from leaking into the housing while permitting for internal pressure within the battery box to be relieved.
SLOTTED BATTERY CAVITY FOR MULTIPLE CELL SIZES
A battery compartment for a device has a single cavity that is segmented into discrete slots, each slot associated with projections that secure and immobilize any batteries inserted into the compartment. Each slot is sized to receive a different size of battery, and the slots are positioned relative to one another to prevent batteries of different sizes from being inserted into the compartment. A shelf may be integrated within the slot(s), and the shelf may include a channel or a multi-planar yet unitary contact member to establish a single point of electrical connection between the battery compartment and the device.
STANDARD ENERGY STORAGE CONTAINER PLATFORM
Embodiments of the disclosure provide an adaptable energy storage container that is interoperable with a plurality of battery types. For example, the disclosure provides an adaptable energy storage container design and method of use that is readily interoperable, e.g. physically and electrically, with a variety of battery types. The container and other components can be assembled into an energy storage platform. For example, the container can substantially enclose a plurality of battery strings within the platform. A central, internal gangway can provide fast access to battery modules and other components within the container. The strings of batteries, each comprising a plurality of battery modules, can be disposed within the container, substantially parallel to each other, and on either side of the central, internal gangway. The battery strings and battery modules therein can be accessed by the gangway through a door at an end of the container.
