Adsorption assembly and battery
An adsorption assembly and a battery are provided. The adsorption assembly includes: a housing including a gas permeable portion; and an adsorbent encapsulated by the housing. The adsorption assembly can effectively isolate the adsorbent from the external environment by providing the housing, thereby preventing the adsorption performance of the adsorbent from being affected, and the housing includes a gas permeable portion, which can make the produced gas in the external environment enter the housing and be effectively adsorbed by the adsorbent. In particular, when the adsorbent is used for a battery, especially a soft pack battery, the gas produced inside the battery can be effectively adsorbed to prevent liquid leakage of the battery seal caused by breakage of the battery seal by gas, improving reliability and safety of the battery and extending lifetime of the battery.

VENT ASSEMBLY WITH MEMBRANE
A vent assembly for a battery or a electrochemical cell may include a vent body configured to connect to a battery casing or a electrochemical cell body, a flame arrester and/or a pressure valve disposed in the vent body, a membrane disposed in the vent body between a vent opening of the battery or the electrochemical cell and the flame arrester and/or the pressure valve, and that is configured to shield the flame arrester and/or the pressure valve from electrolyte solution of the battery or the electrochemical cell, and a seal disposed between the vent body and the membrane. Battery Pack and Propulsion Device
A battery pack includes a plurality of tubular batteries, holders, a storage bag, and a battery casing. The holders hold the plurality of tubular batteries. The storage bag is a flexible bag-shaped member in the interior of which the holders holding the plurality of tubular batteries are accommodated, and is filled with an insulating filler that is fluid and not solidified during use. The battery casing accommodates the storage bag in which the holders are accommodated.
Secondary Battery and Battery Pack Including the Same
According to one aspect of the present invention, the secondary battery includes: a waterproof part configured to surround at least a portion of a circumference of the electrode assembly so that a gas within the exterior passes through the waterproof part, but a liquid within the exterior does not pass through the waterproof part; and a vent part provided in an inner surface of the exterior to provide a path through which the gas within the exterior is discharged to the outside when an internal pressure of the exterior exceeds a certain value.

A battery outgassing filter system is provided. The system includes a battery cell, an external casing encapsulating the battery cell and including a casing vent, and an outgassing filter disposed upon the casing vent and including a filter element including a first filter element portion operable to contain a first size of particulate matter and a second filter element portion operable to contain a second size of particulate matter relatively smaller than the first size of particulate matter.

LITHIUM-ION CELL CONTAINING SOLID ADSORBENT
According to one or more embodiments, a method of producing a lithium-ion cell includes constructing a cell defining a cavity housing an electrode assembly including a cathode, an anode, a separator, and an electrolyte, forming the cell to generate formation gas in the cavity, and releasing the formation gas from the cavity. The method further includes placing a solid adsorbent in the cavity adjacent the electrode assembly after the releasing, and sealing the cavity with the solid adsorbent therein such that post-formation gas is adsorbed by the solid adsorbent in the cavity.
BATTERY WITH A FIRE PROTECTION DEVICE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A battery with a fire protection device, wherein the battery includes a plurality of battery cells and a battery housing, wherein a respective battery cell is arranged in an interior space of the battery housing. The fire protection device includes a composite layer with a thermal insulation layer and with a protective layer arranged on the insulation layer, wherein the composite layer is arranged on a battery housing interior side facing the interior space of the battery housing, and the insulation layer is arranged as an intermediate layer between a surface of the battery housing interior side and the protective layer and is protected by the protective layer against a gas and/or flame stream exiting the respective battery cell in the event of damage, whereby its thermally insulating properties are maintained.
ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL HOUSING
Systems and methods for controlling the emission of gases and/or flames emitted from one or more electrochemical cells are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, gas emitted from an electrochemical cell located within an interior of an enclosure may be flowed through a flow restriction to reduce a pressure and/or temperature of the gas and/or the gas may be flowed through a catalyst prior to exiting through an outlet of the enclosure.
