In one embodiment, disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode, a second electrode and a separator; a case for accommodating the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly coupled to the upper part of the case, wherein the first electrode comprises a first current collector, a first active material layer in which the first active material layer is applied onto the first current collector, a first uncoated area on which a first active material is not applied, and a first electrode tab electrically connected to the first current collector, and the first electrode tab comprises a current collection tab, which is a part of the first current collector, and a lead tab attached to the first current collector.

BATTERY CELL, BATTERY AND ELECTRICITY CONSUMING DEVICE

A battery cell is provided. The battery cell includes a tab, an electrode terminal, an adapter for electrical connection between the electrode terminal and the tab. The first tab group includes a first connecting portion located at an end of a first tab and a first bending portion connected to the first connecting portion and located on a side face of the electrode assembly, the first bending portion is disposed within the reusable region.

BATTERY WIRING MODULE

A battery wiring module is to be attached to multiple battery cells being long in a front-rear direction and including electrode leads at front ends and rear ends of the multiple battery cells to electrically connect the multiple battery cells. The battery wiring module includes a first busbar module to be attached to a front section of the multiple battery cells and a second busbar module that is a separate component from the first busbar module and to be attached to a rear section of the multiple battery cells. The first busbar module includes first busbars that are to be connected to the electrode leads protruding frontward from the multiple battery cells, a first flexible printed circuit board that is to be connected to the first busbars, and a first protector that holds the first busbars and the first flexible printed circuit board.

The present invention relates to a secondary battery. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly in which electrodes and separators are alternately stacked to be wound, a cylindrical can comprising an accommodation part, in which the electrode assembly is accommodated, the can having an opening, and a cap assembly configured to cover the opening. The cap assembly includes a safety vent comprising a notching part that is ruptured when an internal pressure of the battery increases, the notching part has a circular shape in a plan view, the electrode assembly comprises an electrode tab connected to each of the electrodes, the safety vent is connected to the electrode tab and an external terminal, wherein the electrode tab and the external terminal are connected to different sides of an inner side and an outer side with respect to the notching part in the safety vent in the plane view.

The conductive terminal is disposed on a side of the second washer facing away from the first washer. The rivet passes through the first washer, the opening, the second washer, and the conductive terminal, is electrically connected to the conductive terminal, and compresses the first washer and the second washer to seal the opening.

The rivet passes through the first washer, the opening, the second washer, and the conductive terminal, is electrically connected to the conductive terminal, and compresses the first washer and the second washer to seal the opening.

SECONDARY BATTERY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

Provided is a technique to reduce voids between an electrode tab and a current collecting unit in a portion where the electrode tab and the current collecting unit are welded. The secondary battery manufacturing method disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a secondary battery including an electrode body having an electrode tab and a current collecting unit electrically connected to the electrode body. This method includes: welding between the electrode tab and the current collecting unit, by sandwiching the electrode tab between a transparent material and the current collecting unit and then applying laser to penetrate the transparent material.

BATTERY PACK FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE

Certain aspects relate to a battery pack for an electric vehicle. Exemplary battery pack includes a first pouch cell and a vent configured to vent the ejecta from the first pouch cell. The first pouch cell includes at least an outer coating, at least a first pair of electrodes, at least a first pair of foil tabs electrically connected to the at least a first pair of electrodes, at least a first insulator layer located substantially between the at least a first pair of foil tabs, a first pouch substantially encompassing the at least a first pair of foil tabs and the at least a first insulator layer, and a first electrolyte within the first pouch. The battery pack is also configured to power at least a propulsor component.
