WAVEGUIDE COUPLING
The present invention is aimed at providing a waveguide coupling that enables two waveguides to be easily connected together while aligning cross sections of the two waveguides to hold central axes of the two waveguides concentrically with high accuracy. A coupling is for use in connecting two waveguides in an axial direction. The coupling includes a continuous body and a ring member. The continuous body is used to surround in a circumferential direction a connecting portion connecting the two waveguides. The continuous body includes seven partitioning bodies hinged at six portions by gudgeons to become continuous, and the partitioning bodies of end portions are connected together with screws, whereby the continuous body is formed annularly. The ring member has an annular shape, is disposed along a circumference of the waveguide, and is connected to the continuous body by screws.
Assembly comprising a sleeve connecting first and second hollow waveguides, wherein grooves for receiving reversible deformable elements therein are located waveguides and sleeve
An assembly includes a first waveguide and a second waveguide extending longitudinally along a first axis, each having an end, each comprising a first annular groove, the two ends being contiguous along the first axis, and an assembly device for assembling the first waveguide and the second waveguide, wherein the assembly device comprises a sleeve surrounding the ends of the first and second waveguides and having an inner wall comprising two first annular grooves facing the first annular grooves of the first and second waveguides, two reversibly deformable waveguides, each being positioned in a first annular groove of the sleeve and positioned in a first annular groove of the first and second waveguides, so as to block the first and second waveguides in terms of translation along the first axis.
Millimeter waveband filter
In an end surface 32b of the second transmission line forming body 32 forming a second waveguide 30, the height of a central region 33 which includes an opening of the second transmission line 30b is a reference plane. A depressed portion 32e that is depressed to a depth greater than the length of a thread portion of a screw 205 from the reference plane is provided in a region outside the central region 33 and includes a screw hole forming position. A screw hole 32d for fixing an external circuit 200 to be connected is provided at the screw hole forming position in the depressed portion 32e. The height of a region, which is excluding the depressed portion 32e and is further away from the central region 33 than the screw hole forming position, is equal to the reference plane.
Methods And Devices For Protecting Antenna Components From Contaminants
Sealing portions of an orthomode transducer or another antenna component is accomplished by forming first and second receptacles or channels in one half or portion of the transducer and inserting first and second type of compressible sealing components into the receptacles. Upon attaching additional portions of the transducer the compressible sealing components may be compressed, but the compression is limited to an amount within a compression range to maintain a seal.
Waveguide assembly for coupling a waveguide to an apparatus using a waveguide adapter assembly
A waveguide adapter assembly for coupling a waveguide to an apparatus comprises a waveguide adapter having an adapter body, having a first end, a second end and a cavity therein. The cavity has a first opening in the first end for receiving an end portion of a waveguide and a second opening in the second end for communicating with a corresponding opening in the apparatus. The second end has a face around the second opening for mating with a corresponding surface of the apparatus. A flange assembly has a first end and a second end for connecting to the apparatus, with a bore therethrough for receiving the waveguide adaptor. In a further arrangement, the adapter assembly comprises an adapter body for receiving an end portion of a waveguide and for connecting to the apparatus; and means for biasing the adapter body into contact with a mating surface of the apparatus.
Spring-Loaded Waveguide Coupling
A radio-frequency (RF) component includes a first portion of a waveguide configured to transmit an electro-magnetic (EM) wave. The RF component includes a waveguide coupling configured to receive the EM wave from the first portion of the waveguide and transmit the EM wave to an external RF component. The waveguide coupling includes a waveguide plate having a second portion of the first waveguide formed therein; a waveguide spacer having a third portion of the first waveguide formed therein; and a conductive spring circumferentially disposed around the first waveguide in between the waveguide plate and the waveguide spacer.
BOARD TO BOARD CONTACTLESS INTERCONNECT SYSTEM
A board to board contactless interconnect system includes a first circuit board for launching at st one microwave signal into a cavity of a first waveguide secured thereto. A second waveguide, secured to a second circuit board, is coupleable to the first waveguide to receive the at least one microwave signal in a cavity of the second waveguide and conduct the at least one microwave signal onto a microwave receiver aligned with the cavity on the second circuit board. The waveguides may be separable and may include additional waveguides. Conductive gaskets with apertures for microwave signals to pass through are positioned between the waveguides and between each circuit board and a waveguide to prevent leakage of microwave energy therebetween. Some embodiments may pass signals through a sealed boundary and maintain integrity of the seal. Such embodiments may have a third waveguide interposed between the first and second waveguides.
HIGH-SPEED DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
High speed waveguide-based data communication systems are disclosed. Such systems may include separable electrical connectors, forming signal propagation paths between electronic assemblies with one or more waveguides.
Cavity filter
A cavity filter includes a cavity, a cover plate, a tuning component, and a resonant column. The cover plate is connected to the cavity, and the cover plate is configured to cover the cavity to form a resonant cavity. A through hole is provided on the cover plate, and the tuning component passes through the through hole and is fastened on the cover plate. The tuning part includes a high-conductivity part and a non-conductivity part, the high-conductivity part is located in the cavity, and the resonant column is in the cavity.
Quick coupling assemblies
A coupling assembly for a first device having a bayonet is provided. The coupling assembly includes a top plate, a bottom plate, and first fasteners securing the top and bottom plates to one another. The top plate having a slot along a connection axis, where the slot receives the bayonet. The bottom plate has a locking arm in axial alignment with the slot and a biasing arm in a region that is radially offset from the locking arm. The region of the bottom plate receives the bayonet, when in a locked position, with the locking arm preventing the bayonet, by interference with locking arm, from rotating about the connection axis back into alignment with the slot and with the biasing arm preventing the bayonet, by interference with biasing arm, from being withdrawn axially along the connection axis.
