System and method for low-profile occlusion balloon catheter
An occlusion catheter system includes a proximal hub having an inflation connection port and an inflation pathway. An inflation catheter member is connected to the proximal hub and has an inflation lumen. A stiffener member defines a longitudinal axis. The proximal end of the stiffener member is connected to the proximal hub. The stiffener member extends through a portion of the inflation lumen. An occlusion balloon has a proximal balloon end and a distal balloon end. A distal catheter member is positioned substantially on the longitudinal axis and is connected to the distal end of the stiffener member. An atraumatic tip is positioned on a distal end of the distal catheter member. The atraumatic tip has a substantially circular profile in a relaxed configuration. A pressure sensor is connected to the occlusion catheter system distally relative to the occlusion balloon and is connected to a processor by electrical wiring.

Expandable transluminal sheath
Disclosed is an expandable transluminal sheath, for introduction into the body while in a first, low cross-sectional area configuration, and subsequent expansion of at least a part of the distal end of the sheath to a second, enlarged cross-sectional configuration. The distal end of the sheath is maintained in the first, low cross-sectional configuration and expanded using a radial dilatation device. In an exemplary application, the sheath is utilized to provide access for a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure such as ureteroscopy or stone removal.
ADJUSTABLE BALLOON FIXATION FOR A SHEATH
A tool positioning system for use in a medical procedure is provided which includes a medical tool configured to be navigated to a target tool location within a portion of an organ of a patient. The medical tool includes a sheath having a tube defined by a sheath wall, the sheath extending a length in a proximal-distal direction and an inflatable balloon coupled to the sheath and configured to move along the length of the sheath in the proximal-distal direction. When the inflatable balloon is inflated at a target balloon location along the length of the sheath, the inflated balloon is fixed at the target balloon location. The tool positioning system also includes memory configured to store location of the tool in a three dimensional (3D) space and at least one processor configured to generate mapping information for displaying locations of the tool in the 3D space.
BALLOON CATHETER INCLUDING A DRUG DELIVERY SHEATH
A balloon catheter includes an elongated catheter shaft, an expandable balloon connected to the elongated catheter shaft, and a sheath that defines a lumen and includes a therapeutic agent disposed within the lumen. The balloon catheter further includes a first configuration and a second configuration. When in the first configuration, the expandable balloon is disposed distally from the sheath such that an outer surface of the expandable balloon does not contact the lumen. Further, when in the second configuration, at least a portion of the outer surface of the expandable balloon is disposed within the lumen of the sheath such that it contacts the therapeutic agent. At least a portion of the therapeutic agent that contacts the outer surface of the expandable balloon is transferred from the lumen of the sheath to the outer surface of the expandable balloon when the balloon catheter is in the second configuration.
Endoluminal drug delivery device
A drug delivery device (10) includes expandable element (12) formed of a braided structure having a body portion (16) and first and second end cones (18, 20). The end cones are attached at their necks (22, 24) to a catheter assembly (14). The expandable element (12) can expand to a vessel contacting configuration, in which the body portion (16) contacts the vessel wall. Bioactive agent (28) covers at least the outer surface of the body portion (16) such that bioactive material can be administered to a vessel wall. The end cones (18, 20) have an open structure allowing unrestricted passage of blood through the device (10) in the deployed configuration, such that blood flow can be maintained during the administration of bioactive agent (28) from the device (10). The expandable element (12) can be radially contracted by extending it in the longitudinal direction, both for deployment endoluminally to the treatment site and also for retrieval following the administration of the bioactive material.

Removable sheath assembly for a polymer scaffold
A medical device includes a polymer scaffold crimped to a catheter having an expansion balloon. A sheath is placed over the crimped scaffold after crimping to reduce recoil of the crimped polymer scaffold and maintain scaffold-balloon engagement relied on to hold the scaffold to the balloon when the scaffold is being delivered to a target in a body. The sheath is removed by a health professional either by removing the sheath directly or using a tube containing the catheter.
