A liquid crystal phase shifter, a liquid crystal antenna, a communication apparatus, and a method for operating a liquid crystal phase shifter are provided. The liquid crystal phase shifter includes a microwave transmission structure and a phase adjustment structure opposite to each other, and a liquid crystal layer between the microwave transmission structure and the phase adjustment structure; wherein the phase adjustment structure comprises a plurality of phase adjustment units; the plurality of phase adjustment units are configured to change a dielectric constant of the liquid crystal layer according to a voltage applied to the phase adjustment units and a voltage applied to the microwave transmission structure, so as to adjust a phase of a microwave signal; and phase shift amounts adjusted by at least two of the plurality of phase adjustment units are different from each other.

An embodiment of passive phase shifter comprises a ground shield, a pair of ground walls electrically connected to the ground shield having a first height above the ground shield; and a signal line positioned between the ground walls and electrically isolated from the ground shield. The signal line may comprise an intermediate signal line separated a second height above the ground shield; a top signal line separated from the intermediate signal line at a third height above the ground shield and electrically connected to the intermediate signal line by one or more conductive vias; and a plurality of blocks positioned between and electrically isolated from the intermediate signal line and the top signal line.

The present disclosure relates to a phase shifter assembly and a base station antenna, wherein the phase shifter assembly includes: a first printed circuit board; a first wiper arm, which is rotatably coupled to the first printed circuit board; a second printed circuit board; and a second wiper arm, which is rotatably coupled to the second printed circuit board; wherein the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board are arranged at a non-zero angle.
Signal conditioner, antenna device and manufacturing method
The present disclosure provides a signal conditioner, an antenna device and a manufacturing method. The signal conditioner includes: a microstrip line including a first portion and a second portion; an insulating layer including a first insulating layer covering the first portion; at least one electrode; a liquid crystal layer covering the microstrip line, the insulating layer, and the at least one electrode; and a common electrode line. A first end of the first portion is connected to a first end of the second portion. A second end of the first portion is connected to a second end of the second portion. The at least one electrode includes a first electrode on a side of the first insulating layer facing away from the first portion. The common electrode line is on a side of the liquid crystal layer facing away from the microstrip line.
Remote electronic tilt actuators for controlling multiple phase shifters and base station antennas with remote electronic tilt actuators
A first mechanical linkage is connected between a RET actuator and a first phase shifter. A second mechanical linkage is connected between the RET actuator and a second phase shifter. The RET actuator includes a rotary drive element operably coupled to at least one drive gear for moving the at least one drive gear in a first rotary direction and a second rotary direction. A first drive system is connected to the first mechanical linkage and a second drive system is connected to the second mechanical linkage. The first drive system has a first driven gear and the second drive system has a second driven gear where the first driven gear and the second driven gear are coaxially located relative to one another. An index system selectively couples the at least a one drive gear to one of the first driven gear and the second driven gear.
PHASE SHIFTER CIRCUIT AND POWER DIVIDER
A phase shifter circuit and a power divider are disclosed. The phase shifter circuit provides a (90/N)-degree phase shift for a signal with two or more frequencies, where N is an integer. The phase shifter circuit includes a first inductor, a first capacitor, a second inductor and a second capacitor. The first inductor is grounded, and is coupled to the first capacitor in series. The second inductor is grounded, and is coupled to the second capacitor in series. A first node between the first capacitor and the first inductor is coupled to a node between a second node between the second capacitor and the second inductor. The power divider includes plural circuit blocks cascaded in series. Each circuit block provides a (90/N)-degree phase shift for a signal with two or more operating frequencies.
Phase shifter and manufacturing method thereof
A phase shifter and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The phase shifter includes a substrate, a signal line on the substrate, ground lines in pairs and on the substrate, and at least one film bridge on the substrate and spaced apart from the signal line. Two adjacent ground lines of the ground lines are on both sides of the signal line and spaced apart from the signal line, respectively, and both ends of each film bridge are on the two adjacent ground lines, respectively. The signal line is in a space surrounded by each film bridge and the substrate. Each film bridge includes a metal layer opposite to the signal line, the metal layer has a plurality of openings therein, and the plurality of openings penetrate through the metal layer in a thickness direction of the metal layer.
Filtering device
Embodiments provide a filtering device, to effectively simplify assembly and tuning processes. The filtering device includes: a housing, including an inner cavity; a resonant conductor, having a resonance function, and disposed inside the inner cavity; and a pressing element, having one end disposed on the housing and another end suspended, and facing a position of an open-circuit end of the resonant conductor. A distance between the pressing element and the resonant conductor is changeable when the pressing element is pressed or drawn to adjust a resonant frequency. The filtering device provided in various embodiments is applicable to a plurality of communications devices for selecting a signal frequency.
Compact antenna phase shifter with simplified drive mechanism
Disclosed is a phase shifter arrangement for an antenna, such as a cellular antenna, that has a simplified drive mechanism. The phase shifter arrangement has two phase shifters, each with two wiper arms that are coupled at one end to a single drive shaft. Each of the wiper arms have a pivot access that may be located at or near its center such that as the drive shaft translates, it mechanically engages both wiper arms, causing them to rotate around their respective pivot axes. Certain antenna arrangements have several array faces. For example, the antenna may have three array faces, each spaced at 120 degrees of azimuth. The drive shafts for each of these array faces may operate independently to function as a multisector antenna, or they may be driven in unison to function as an omnidirectional antenna.

A phase shifter is provided, which includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of first ring-shaped electrodes and a plurality of second ring-shaped electrodes. The first substrate and the second substrate are disposed opposite to each other. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The plurality of first ring-shaped electrodes are disposed sequentially and in interval on a side of the first substrate close to the liquid crystal layer. The plurality of second ring-shaped electrodes are disposed sequentially and in interval on a side of the second substrate close to the liquid crystal layer. A plurality of vertical projections, projected by the plurality of first ring-shaped electrodes to the second substrate, and at least partially overlapped with the plurality of second ring-shaped electrodes, respectively.
