A passive circulator utilizing sequentially-switched delay lines (SSDL) in which delay line sections are sequentially turned on and off to achieve non-reciprocity to provide rejection/separations between different signals at the same/similar frequency, such as between a transmitted and received signal. The circulator is well-suited for on-chip integration and can be utilized across a wide frequency range. Various embodiments are described for separating signal waveforms.

Each of the gear linkages includes a fixed gear coupled to one of the plurality of output shafts and a moving gear that is slideably coupled to the drive shaft. A bias spring is coupled to the moving gear to urge the moving gear out of engagement with the fixed gear. The mechanical switch moves the moving gear into engagement with the fixed gear on the output shaft adjacent the linkage to thereby cause the output shaft to rotate in response to rotation of the drive shaft.

The liquid crystal cell includes a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite to each other; the partition plate is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; the first microstrip line is disposed on a surface of the partition plate away from the second substrate; the second microstrip line is disposed on a surface of the partition plate away from the first substrate; and the liquid crystal molecules are provided between the first substrate and the partition plate, and between the second substrate and the partition plate.

Furthermore, an antenna-side terminal of the first phase shifter arrangement is electrically connected directly or indirectly to a first terminal of at least one radiating element.

A device for shifting the phase of an electrical signal includes a first microstrip, a second microstrip, and a ground plate. The first microstrip includes an input terminal and the second microstrip includes an output terminal. The second microstrip is spaced apart from the first microstrip such that a microstrip-to-slot transition region is defined between the first microstrip and the second microstrip. The ground plate includes a ground-plate slot that spans the microstrip-to-slot transition region. The ground plate is coupled with the first microstrip and the second microstrip such that at least one of the first microstrip and the second microstrip are movable relative to each other and to the ground plate to adjust a width of the microstrip-to-slot transition region.

The present invention relates to a phase-shifting unit module, a manufacturing method therefor, a phase shifting device, and an antenna. The phase-shifting unit module comprises a first metal ground plate, a second metal ground plate, an insulating dielectric plate, a slide apparatus, and a fixed transmission line. The insulating dielectric plate is provided thereon with at least one impedance transforming part. The thickness of the impedance transforming part is less than the thickness of the remaining parts of the insulating dielectric plate. The impedance transforming part of the insulating dielectric plate is overlapped with the fixed transmission line during a moving process. The insulating dielectric plate is overlapped only with the fixed transmission line, thus reducing reflected signals, while at the same time reducing losses, and facilitating ultra-wideband design of the phase-shift unit module and of the phase-shifting device.
