APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION OF MILLIMETER WAVE SIGNALS
Embodiments relate to systems, methods, and computer-readable media to enable a wireless communication device. In one embodiment a wireless communication device is configured to radiate a millimeter wave signal through a circular waveguide. A patch antenna is resonated in a Transverse Magnetic 1-0 (TM10) operating mode and electrically couples to an open end of the circular waveguide. The electric field pattern of the patch antenna is such that the millimeter wave signal is launched into the waveguide propagating in a Transverse Electric 1-1 (TE11) mode. In other embodiments, various other configurations may be used as described herein.
MULTILAYERED CAVITY STRUCTURES, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A cavity device is disclosed comprising a plurality of flat boards stacked one on lop of the other to form a multilayered structure. At least some of the flat boards comprise at least one opening or perforations having one or more layers of electrically conducting materials configured to establish electrical conduction with one or more layers of electrically conducting materials of another one of the flat boards, to thereby form electrically conducting patterns in the multilayered structure for interacting with electromagnetic radiation introduced into the cavity device.
FORMING CLOSELY SPACED ANNULAR INTERNAL CORRUGATIONS IN CIRCULAR WAVEGUIDES
An apparatus for cutting annular corrugations in an interior surface of a cylindrical tube having a cutter head comprising a plurality of cutting teeth; a drive shaft coupled to the cutter head for spinning the cutter head; a mandrel coupled to the cutter head, wherein the mandrel defines a longitudinal axis, wherein an axis of rotation of the cutter head is parallel to, but in a position not coaxial with the axis of rotation of the cutter head; an outer eccentric coupled to mandrel, wherein the outer eccentric rotates the mandrel, wherein the axis of rotation orbits around the longitudinal axis.
Adjustable waveguide assembly
A waveguide assembly system includes a fixed port, a sliding port, and a transmission path from the fixed port to the sliding port. The transmission path includes a waveguide assembly that includes a first minor face corresponding to the fixed port, a first major face that includes a recess extending from the first minor surface towards the fixed port. The waveguide assembly system also includes a port assembly with a first major surface disposed opposite to the first major surface of the waveguide assembly. The port assembly includes at least one port having a first opening on the first major surface of the port assembly and a second opening on a second major surface of the port assembly. The port assembly includes one or more stubs positioned to impede electromagnetic energy propagation beyond a specified distance within the port tab assembly.
