An imaging system and device used either alone or in conjunction with an intravascular treatment device to deliver a therapeutic agent to soft tissue within a subject.

Endovascular catheter with multiple capabilities

An endovascular catheter combination configured to have multiple capabilities is disclosed. These capabilities include proximal and distal occlusion of a segment of a target blood vessel (such as the carotid artery) thus excluding the segment of the blood vessel from circulation for purposes such as surgical consideration. Another capability includes intravascular shunting of the blood through the excluded portion of the artery during a procedure such as an endarterectomy. Additionally, a microsensor provides a measurement of the rate/volume of blood flow through the distal end of the catheter. In one embodiment, a guidewire is provided with a filtration mesh as an anti-embolic mechanism both at the time of initial positioning of the catheter and after reversing the occlusion.

A catheter device and method are disclosed for transvascular delivery of a medical device to a cardiac valve region of a patient. The catheter device comprises an elongate sheath with a lumen and a distal end for positioning at a target site e.g. a heart valve.

AIRWAY DILATION BALLOON WITH HOLLOW CORE
20190388656 · 2019-12-26 ·

A system to dilate a stenotic region of an airway of a patient includes a stylet and a dilation catheter. The dilation catheter includes a catheter shaft and an inflatable balloon. The catheter shaft defines a shaft lumen and is configured to receive at least a portion of the stylet. The shaft lumen is axially aligned with a first longitudinal axis. The inflatable balloon is in fluid communication with an inflation lumen. The inflatable balloon is configured to transition between non-expanded and expanded configurations using the inflation lumen. The inflatable balloon has an outer perimeter configured to contact the stenotic region of the airway when in the expanded configuration. The inflatable balloon includes a pass-through lumen that is axially aligned with a second longitudinal axis that is laterally offset a distance from the first longitudinal axis. The pass-through lumen is disposed completely within the outer perimeter of the inflatable balloon.

Vascular closure devices and methods

Vascular closure assembly embodiments may be used to provide hemostasis at vascular puncture sites or the like. Such vascular puncture or access sites may be created during a variety of percutaneous or minimally invasive medical procedures.

Selectively delivering particles into the distal portion of the left gastric artery

Embolization particles can be safely delivered to the left gastric artery of a patient by introducing the distal end of a catheter in the patient's left gastric artery, inflating a balloon located near the distal end of the catheter so that the balloon prevents blood from flowing through the left gastric artery, and injecting a mixture of particles and contrast agent into the proximal end of the catheter so that they flow through the catheter. In addition, a path is provided for blood to flow into the catheter through an opening in the sidewall of the catheter at a position that is proximal to the balloon, and out through the distal end of the catheter. This blood flow helps to carry the particles along to their destination in the distal portion of the left gastric artery. The particles are also prevented from flowing into portions of the patient's artery system that are proximal of the balloon.

The subject guide catheter extension/pre-dilatation system includes an outer delivery sheath, an inner member extending within the sheath, and a mechanism for engagement/disengagement of the inner member to/from the sheath. The inner member is configured with a tapered distal tip having a delivery micro-catheter and a pre-dilatation balloon member attached to the tapered distal tip in proximity to the micro-catheter. The outer delivery sheath and the inner member are modified for different engagement/disengagement mechanisms operation. The outer delivery sheath comprises one or more holes configured to reduce or eliminate myocardial ischemia risk.

Bulging Torus Balloon

The present invention is a medical device for anchoring itself and other medical devices while channeling blood flow through the center of a vessel proximal to the device's target area to minimize debris and the pressure necessary to move blood proximal to the device of the present invention. It also provides superior recoil reduction capabilities. Disclosed is a bulging torus or doughnut-shaped balloon medical device that may be inflated and deflated by increasing and decreasing pressure within the balloon, having two passages therethrough, dimensioned for blood flow and a delivery device. A method using the device is also disclosed.

Devices and methods for treating acute kidney injury

A catheter devices/systems and methods therefrom are described herein for treating acute kidney injury, especially the contrast-induced acute kidney injury wherein the devices may prevent the contrast dyes from entering into kidney and/or facilitate blood flow of kidney by said catheter system.
