BALLOON CATHETER VISUALIZATION DEVICE INCLUDING REINFORCEMENT FEATURES

A balloon catheter visualization device includes a handle, an elongate shaft, and an asymmetrical balloon. The elongate shaft includes a distal end, a proximal end, and defines a lumen and a longitudinal axis extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The proximal end is coupled to the handle. The asymmetrical-shaped balloon including a distal portion and a proximal portion. The proximal portion is coupled to the distal end of the elongate shaft. The proximal portion has one or more reinforcement features including a layer of material coupled to the asymmetrical-shaped balloon and forming an outer contour at the proximal portion of the asymmetrical-shaped balloon that is asymmetrical to an outer contour of the distal portion of the asymmetrical-shaped balloon.

Atherectomy devices and methods

This document describes rotational atherectomy devices and systems for removing or reducing stenotic lesions in blood vessels by rotating an abrasive element within the vessel to partially or completely remove the stenotic lesion material.

MULTI-LUMEN CANNULAE

The present disclosure concerns embodiments of multi-lumen cannulae that can be used in various different medical procedures. The multi-lumen cannulae can comprise an elongated body comprising multiple different ports that connect to the various different sidewall lumens contained within the elongated body. The multi-lumen cannulae can also comprise a central lumen that extends through the entire elongated body and can be fluidly connected to the various different sidewall lumens. The multi-lumen cannulae can further comprise two balloons on the exterior of the elongated body, which can be used to isolate the right atrium of a patient's heart.

Devices, systems, and methods for providing retroperfusion to at least one ischemic tissue in a minimally invasive manner are disclosed. At least some of the embodiments disclosed herein enable an anastomosis to be formed between a vein and an artery without the use of sutures and through a non-invasive procedure. In addition, various disclosed embodiments provide a cannula device comprising a Y-configuration for bifurcating arterial flow between an anastomosis and the underlying artery. The devices, systems and methods herein can further provide simultaneous autoretroperfusion therapy to more than one area of an ischemic tissue.

A scaffold is mounted on a balloon of a balloon catheter. The scaffold has closed cells which deform upon balloon expansion and generate forces that cause struts or other components of the scaffold to deflect outwardly to a diameter that is greater than the inflated diameter balloon. The deflected struts apply forces to fracture plaque of other hardened lesions and also form an annular gap surrounding the balloon to provide for bypass flow of blood or other body fluids. A sheath may be located over the deflected struts to protect adjacent tissue structures from the deflected struts and/or to further define the gap.

PERFUSION BALLOON WITH INTERNAL VALVE

An apparatus for performing a medical procedure and, in particular, an aortic valvuloplasty, in a vessel for transmitting a flow of fluid. The apparatus comprises a shaft, an inflatable perfusion balloon supported by the shaft and including an internal passage for permitting the fluid flow in the vessel while the perfusion balloon is in an inflated condition, and a valve for controlling the fluid flow within the passage. The valve may be connected to the shaft, or may comprise an elongated tube partially connected to the balloon. The balloon may comprise a plurality of cells in a single cross-section, each cell including a neck, and the valve may be positioned in a space between the shaft and the necks for controlling the fluid flow within the passage. A connector may also be provided to control the position of the valve.

PERFUSION BALLOON WITH EXTERNAL VALVE

An apparatus for performing a medical procedure and, in particular, an aortic valvuloplasty, in a vessel for transmitting a flow of fluid. The apparatus includes an inflatable perfusion balloon including an internal passage for permitting the fluid flow in the vessel while the perfusion balloon is in an inflated condition, the balloon including a plurality of cells in a single cross section and a covering for at least partially covering the cells. A valve associated with the balloon controls the fluid flow within the passage, the valve being arranged external to the passage. The valve may form a tubular extension of the covering, or may be separate from the covering, and may comprise flaps. A spiral covering may also form the valve.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR ORGAN RETROPERFUSION ALONG WITH REGIONAL MILD HYPOTHERMIA

A quick-connector for use with an autoretroperfusion and hypothermia system and methods of using the connector. The connector comprises a coolant inlet, a coolant outlet, a coolant reservoir, a blood lumen outlet, a blood lumen inlet, and a blood lumen, whereby the coolant outlet is configured to accept a cooling product from the reservoir, the reservoir is configured to accept cooling product from the coolant inlet. Flowing blood powered by the patient's heart may enter the connector through the blood lumen inlet, travel through the blood lumen while being cooled by cooling product in the reservoir, and leave the connector through the blood lumen outlet. The temperature of blood leaving the connector can be measured at the blood lumen outlet. Catheters can be attached to the blood lumen inlet and blood lumen outlet to receive and send blood, respectively. A cooling system can be attached to the coolant inlet and coolant outlet to provide a source of cooling product.

PERCUTANEOUS FILTER BALLOON FOR HEMOSTASIS IN A BIOLOGICAL VESSEL, AND A METHOD OF USING THE SAME DURING DAMAGE CONTROL SURGERY
20210386430 · 2021-12-16 ·

A percutaneous procedural assembly for hemostasis in a blood vessel, and a method of using the same during damage control surgery is provided. The percutaneous procedural assembly provides a serial arrangement of a plurality of tubular segments that are selectively and independently movable between a deflated condition and an inflated condition in a consecutive and/or sequentially manner. The plurality of tubular segments define a lumen for maintaining patency, wherein a distal opening to the lumen provides a filter dimensioned to separate uncoagulated blood and coagulated blood so that upon withdrawal blood clots are removed from the blood vessel.
