3D 360 degree omnidirectional MIMO
A three-dimensional, 360 degree, omnidirectional multiple-input multiple-output wireless systems is described herein. The multiple-input multiple-output wireless system is comprised of a plurality of radio inputs, a plurality of radio-frequency converters, an RF signal distribution network, a plurality of transceivers, and a plurality of antennas. The multiple-input multiple-output wireless system may further have a plurality of planar stacks.
Method to assemble aperture segments of a cylindrical feed antenna
A method of assembling an antenna aperture from a plurality of antenna aperture segments is described. The method may include placing a first aperture segment relative to a second aperture segment to partially form the antenna aperture. Furthermore, an overlap of the first aperture segment overlaps a complementary underlap of the second aperture segment at a seam. The method may also include joining the overlap of the first aperture segment to the underlap of the second aperture segment to partially form the antenna aperture.
ANTENNA DEVICE AND ANTENNA SYSTEM
An antenna device includes an antenna unit and reflecting units. The antenna unit is arranged on a substrate. The reflecting units are arranged separately from each other on the substrate and surrounding the antenna unit. The reflecting units are configured to adjust a radiation pattern of the antenna unit, and each of the reflecting units includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has an upper side and a lower side, and the lower side of the first portion is coupled to the substrate. The second portion has a lower side connected to the upper side of the first portion. A width of the lower side of the first portion is smaller than a width of the lower side of the second portion.
Random, sequential, or simultaneous multi-beam circular antenna array and beam forming networks with up to 360° coverage
An antenna array system provides simultaneous 360 coverage and includes Butler matrix beam forming networks connected to an antenna array, which includes narrow and/or broadband elements, and multiple transmitters, receivers, or transceivers to allow for 360 transmission and/or reception. The antenna array system can provide multiple beams, such as without limitation 8 or 16 beams, which can vary in beam crossing and/or overlap to provide simultaneous 360 coverage. An antenna array system includes a plurality of antenna elements configured in an array, a first Butler matrix operatively coupled to the plurality of antenna elements, and a second Butler matrix operatively coupled to the first Butler matrix. A method of providing simultaneous 360 coverage includes configuring a plurality of antenna elements in an array, coupling a first Butler matrix operatively to the plurality of antenna elements, and coupling a second Butler matrix operatively to the first Butler matrix.

AM/FM directional antenna array for vehicle
An antenna array for use in a passenger vehicle. Four of the roof support pillars are used as antenna elements. Each of the four pillars is electrically connected or coupled to one end of a corresponding meanderline component. The other end of each meanderline is in turn coupled to a radio receiver, typically through a combining network.
DIELECTRIC ANTENNA ARRAY AND SYSTEM
An example antenna system includes a plurality of dielectric rod stacks and a control circuit. The control circuit includes a plurality of independently controlled output circuit boards. Each independently controlled output circuit board includes a respective dielectric rod stack. The respective dielectric rod stack includes a plurality of respective dielectric rods. The control circuit selects: (i) the dielectric rod stacks, and (ii) the respective dielectric rods of the respective dielectric rod stack to adjust a beam of emitted or received radio frequency (RF) waves.
Antenna Device and Method of Driving the Same
An antenna device includes a number of antenna devices disposed to surround a center, and first to M.sup.th (M being an integer equal to or greater than 1) switches connected to the plural antenna devices. The plurality of antenna devices include first to N.sup.th (N being an integer equal to or greater than 1) antenna device groups, and each of the first to N.sup.th antenna device groups includes first to M.sup.th antenna devices. The first switch is connected to each of first antenna devices of the first to N.sup.th antenna device groups, the J.sup.th (J being an integer and 1<J<M) switch is connected to each of J.sup.th antenna devices of the first to N.sup.th antenna device groups, and the M.sup.th switch is connected to each of the M.sup.th antenna switches of the first to N.sup.th antenna device groups.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING SATELLITE-BASED COMMUNICATION INTERFERENCE
Systems and methods for detecting and reducing signal interference affecting wireless communication with a mobile vehicle includes generating an interference signature based on a correlation multiple signal-quality characteristics of a desired target-signal that is received at an antenna assembly attached to the mobile vehicle, and adjusting the orientation of the antenna assembly based on a change or degradation in the interference signature to thereby improve wireless communication with the vehicle.
Multibeam antenna that spans the 360 degrees space in azimuth
A low-profile electronically scanned phased arrays integrated multi-beam cylindrical array that can scan by connecting to one feed or multiple feeds at one time.
