A TFT module includes TFTs; gate bus lines; a plurality of source bus lines; unit electrodes connected with the source bus lines via the TFTs; a gate driver configured to supply a scan signal from a first end of the gate bus lines and a source driver configured to supply a data signal from a first end of the source bus lines, the gate driver and the source driver being provided in a second region lying around a first region in which the unit electrodes are provided; current sensing circuits provided in the second region; and feedback lines. Each of the feedback lines is connected with a corresponding current sensing circuit and with a second end of a corresponding source bus line or gate bus line, the second end being opposite to the first end.

AIMABLE BEAM ANTENNA SYSTEM
A system that improves wireless communication between a wireless base station and a plurality of remote wireless computing user devices (UEs) based on aiming downlink wireless signals from a base station in a beam shaped waveform in a determined direction for each remote UE that is identified as allocated a time period for communication with the base station according to a schedule. The system includes different types of components may be employed to implement various functions, including an angle of arrival (AoA) detector component, a downlink protocol decoder component, and an antenna controller component. The AoA detector component may be employed to monitor one or more radio frequency (RF) wireless signals radiated by UEs that are communicating with the base station in accordance with an allocation schedule.
Flat-plate, low sidelobe, two-dimensional, steerable leaky-wave planar array antenna
A planar array antenna having a low-profile that provides a two dimensional, steerable, high-gain, low-sidelobe radiated RF beam patterns is presented. The antenna includes a metamaterial array of a plurality of first and second rows of unit cells, to propagate a radiation pattern along a first axis. The first rows operate in left-hand mode and the second rows operate in right-hand mode. Each of the unit cells include a volume of liquid crystal and a virtual ground connection capable of generating a potential difference for tuning the dielectric value of the liquid crystal. The antenna further includes a plurality of RF input ports disposed in a centralized location and a dual-channel center-feed network communicatively coupled to the plurality of paired first and second rows of unit cells and the plurality of RF input ports to form and control the direction of the radiated RF beam pattern.
RADAR DEVICE
A radar device includes: a transmitting antenna having at least one element antenna; and a receiving antenna having a plurality of element antennas. The plurality of element antennas of the receiving antenna are arranged at different positions in a first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A distance between two adjacent element antennas among the plurality of element antennas of the receiving antenna in the first direction is equal to each other. A distance between two adjacent element antennas among the plurality of element antennas of the receiving antenna in the second direction is equal to each other.

Phase-selectable antenna unit and related antenna, subsystem, system, and method
In an embodiment, an antenna unit for an antenna array allows shifting the phase of a radiated or received signal without the need for a phase shifter, and includes an antenna element, switching devices, and signal couplers. The antenna element includes at least one section and signal ports each electrically isolated from each other and from each of the at least one section. The switching devices are each configured to couple a respective one of the signal ports to one of the at least one section in response to a respective control signal, and the signal couplers are each configured to couple a respective one of the signal ports to a respective location of a respective transmission medium.
Electronic devices having antenna module isolation structures
An electronic device may be provided with a phased antenna array controlled by phase and magnitude controllers within an integrated circuit. The array may be formed on antenna layers and the integrated circuit may be mounted to transmission line layers of a dielectric substrate. A ground plane may separate the transmission line layers from the antenna layers. A connector may be mounted to the surface of the transmission line layers and may be coupled to the integrated circuit using conductive traces. A passive resonator may be formed in the antenna layers and may include conductive structures that resonate at one-quarter of the effective wavelength of operation of the array to form an open circuit impedance for surface currents generated on the ground plane by the array. This may serve to block the surface currents from scattering at an edge of the ground plane and leaking onto the integrated circuit.
Millimeter wave radio frequency phase shifter
A millimeter wave RF phase shifter includes an input and an output. The RF phase shifter further includes a transmission line coupled to the input. The transmission line can include a plurality of taps. The RF phase shifter can further include a plurality of switching devices. Each switching device can be coupled between the output and a corresponding tap of the plurality of taps. The RF phase shifter can include a control device operatively coupled to the plurality of switching devices. The control device can be configured to control operation of the plurality of switching devices to selectively couple one of the plurality of taps to the output to control a phase shift of a RF signal propagating on the transmission line.
Interleaved array of antennas operable at multiple frequencies
An interleaved array of electronically steerable antennas is capable of simultaneously operating and/or independently beam scanning at different frequencies from a single aperture. An antenna system may comprise a plurality of electronically steerable antennas configured to be operable at different frequencies, each of the antennas comprising a feed launching a surface wave and surface-wave waveguides connected to the feed. The surface-wave waveguides of the antennas operable at different frequencies may be interleaved with each other.
