Sector dual-resonant dipole antenna

The present invention discloses a sector dual-resonant dipole antenna. Radiation elements of the antenna are two identical sector patches. Two identical rectangular notches can be symmetrically arranged or two identical tuning stubs can be symmetrically loaded on the sector patches at positions deviating from the central axis of the two sector patches. Exciting points are symmetrically arranged on sides of the sector patches close to a central axis. The present invention realizes a wide beamwidth radiation characteristic through a two-dimensional sectorial resonator, and then the notches are arranged or the tuning stubs are loaded at appropriate positions of two arms of the sectorial resonator, and thereby a dual-resonant characteristic can be realized within a working band.

The present invention provides a balanced dipole unit and a broadband omnidirectional collinear array antenna formed by the balanced dipole unit. Balanced dipole unit circuits in the balanced dipole unit are symmetrically distributed on two sides of a circuit carrier, and a feeder and a ground wire in the balanced dipole unit are also symmetrically distributed, so that the balanced dipole unit has a completely symmetrical structure. A principle of the symmetrical structure is the same as a differential design principle and a self-balancing principle in the circuit design, thereby reducing current coupling between the balanced dipole units and eliminating the need of using an additional choke circuit when a broadband omnidirectional collinear array antenna is formed by the balanced dipole unit.

Antenna system with short cable

The disclosure concerns an antenna system having a clearance zone coupled to an antenna element, the clearance zone being further coupled to a ground plane. The antenna element and ground plane are electrically coupled by a short cable having a short cable routing. The short cable routing includes at least one bend wherein a portion of the short cable is disposed above the clearance zone. The short cable creates a bridging effect which reduces form factor while retaining lower frequency resonance.
