The partially dielectric loaded divided horn waveguide device may include a polarizer, a waveguide horn, multiple individual waveguides dividing a horn port of the waveguide horn, and multiple dielectric elements partially filling the individual waveguides. The dielectric elements may include a dielectric member extending along a corresponding individual waveguide and one or more matching features for matching signal propagation between the partially dielectric loaded individual waveguides and free space. Various components of the partially dielectric loaded divided horn waveguide device may be tuned for enhanced signal propagation between the waveguide horn and the individual waveguides, and between the individual waveguides and free space.

An antenna system for wireless communication of data includes at least four horn antennas. Each horn antenna is configured to support communications at two mutually orthogonal linear polarizations. Each horn antenna includes an inner wall enclosing a space and geometric constrictions each protruding inwardly from the inner wall into the space along a corresponding polarization plane of one of the two linear polarizations. The receiving antennas are at regular intervals in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction, and the transmitting antenna is adjacent to the receiving antennas in the second direction. The transmitting horns are at regular intervals in the first direction, and the transmitting antenna includes an oblique arrangement portion and a reverse oblique arrangement portion. The reverse oblique arrangement portion is adjacent to the oblique arrangement portion in the first direction, and the oblique arrangement portion and the reverse oblique arrangement portion are symmetrical to each other about a plane perpendicular to the first direction. The transmitting horns included in the oblique arrangement portion or the reverse oblique arrangement portion are adjacent to each other in the first direction with at least two sorts of magnitude of displacement therebetween.

The present disclosure relates to a horn antenna apparatus. The horn antenna apparatus includes: a first horn antenna; and a second horn antennas provided with an input waveguide which is arranged to correspond to an output waveguide of the first horn antenna, wherein the output waveguide of the first horn antenna and the input waveguide of the second horn antenna are connected to be overlapped with each other to form a mode conversion waveguide, and higher modes of a TM11 mode and a TE12 mode are generated in an aperture of an output waveguide of the second horn antenna.

Horn Antennas With Integrated Feeds

Provided herein are various enhancements for feed networks and aperture assemblies in radio frequency transmit/receive systems. In one example an apparatus includes a horn aperture integrated with a multimode feed network that can be monolithically fabricated in a single piece. The multimode feed network comprises a first feed section coupled between a first feed port and a first polarizer port of a polarizer and comprising a first waveguide filter and first waveguide stubs establishing first transmission zeros. The multimode feed network also includes a second feed section coupled between a second feed port and a second polarizer port of the polarizer and comprising a second waveguide filter and second waveguide stubs establishing second transmission zeros. The polarizer comprises a stepped septum positioned between the first polarizer port and the second polarizer port and having a shared port coupled to the horn aperture.

Variable gain horn

A variable gain horn and a system for testing an antenna with the variable gain horn is disclosed. The variable gain horn includes a horn adapted to transmit electromagnetic signals to an antenna under test. The horn is adapted to have a diverging lens attached and detached without fasteners at its distal end of the horn by a form fit. When the diverging lens is not attached, the variable gain horn transmit the electromagnetic signals at a higher directivity than when the variable gain horn with the diverging lens attached to the distal end. The system also comprises a parabolic mirror adapted to reflect the electromagnetic signals incident thereon from the variable gain horn to an antenna under test (AUT).
