Examples disclosed herein relate to a directed reflect array with a tiled configuration for fixed wireless applications. The directed reflect array includes a substrate and a plurality of reflective tiles disposed on the substrate, wherein the plurality of reflective tiles are individually arranged to produce a directed radiation pattern that is directed toward a target reflection point based at least on a reflection phase of one or more reflective tiles in the plurality of reflective tiles. Other examples disclosed herein relate to a method of configuring a directed reflect array and a wireless network system that includes a directed reflect array.

System, device and method for tuning a remote antenna

An antenna assembly tunable from remote comprising a main reflector a sub-reflector associated with the main reflector, and a feed adapted receive transmission illuminating the main reflector via the sub-reflector, or to transmit transmission to the main reflector via the sub-reflector. The sub-reflector comprising a plurality of actuators disposed over and attached to its outer face. Each of the actuators is adapted to locally deform the surface of the sub-reflector adjacent to that actuator in response to a change in the actuator position.

Resonant element of frequency selective surface, frequency selective surface and antenna device

There are provided a plurality of poles whose roots are connected to a central part and whose tips extend in mutually different directions on an identical plane or on an identical curved surface, wherein a pole width at each of the roots is narrower than a pole width between each of the roots and the corresponding one of the tips, and a pole width at each of the tips is narrower that the pole width between each of the roots and the corresponding one of the tips, each pole width being defined by a length of a line segment in a direction perpendicular, on the identical plane or on the identical curved surface, to a line segment connecting each of the roots to a corresponding one of the tips in the respective poles.

Apparatus for Reflecting Electromagnetic Waves and Method of Operating such Apparatus

Apparatus comprising at least one reflective surface configured to reflect electromagnetic waves, wherein a reflective response of at least one portion of said reflective surface with respect to said electromagnetic waves is electronically controllable, wherein said apparatus is configured to at least temporarily control said reflective response of said at least one portion of said reflective surface.

Reconfigurable arrays with multiple unit cells

Arrays that are deployable and can change their electromagnetic behavior by changing their shape are provided. The arrays can steer the beam using folding techniques and/or can achieve multiple operation states by folding the structure. An array can include a foldable substrate with antenna elements disposed thereon. In a folded state, a first plurality of unit cells is visible from above the array and can be configured to steer in a particular first direction and/or operate at a particular first frequency. In the unfolded state a second plurality of unit cells, and also possibly the first plurality of unit cells, are visible from above the array and can be configured to steer in a particular second direction and/or operate at a particular second frequency.

A deployable antenna structure is provided that, in one embodiment, implements an offset feed, cylindrical parabolic antenna. The antenna structure employs a semi-rigid panel that can transition from a stowed state characterized by the retention of substantial strain energy to a deployed state characterized by less strain energy than in the stowed state but more than if the panel were in a strain-free state and a portion of the panel having a shape that closely conforms to a cylindrical parabolic shape.

Signal cancellation in radio frequency (RF) device network

A system, in a programmable active reflector (AR) device associated with a first radio frequency (RF) device and a second RF device, receives a request and associated metadata from the second RF device via a first antenna array. Based on the received request and associated metadata, one or more antenna control signals are received from the first RF device. The programmable AR device is dynamically selected and controlled by the first RF device based on a set of criteria. A controlled plurality of RF signals is transmitted, via a second antenna array, to the second RF device within a transmission range of the programmable AR device based on the associated metadata. The controlled plurality of RF signals are cancelled at the second RF device based on the associated metadata.
