Antenna apparatus
An antenna apparatus includes: an antenna array that: i) includes a plurality of antennas arranged next to each other in a predetermined direction, ii) is supplied with power from a power source, and iii) transmits radio waves; and a plurality of dummy antennas that: i) are provided on opposite sides of the antenna array in the predetermined direction, ii) are supplied with power from an electric field leaked from the antennas of the antenna array, and iii) transmit radio waves. Thus, it is possible to prevent an accuracy of detecting a target from deteriorating.
Radio Frequency Antenna Incorporating Transmitter and Receiver Feeder with Reduced Occlusion
An antenna system (201) comprising a set of transmitting elements (320A-K) and a set of receiving elements (310A-N) formed on a same or different planar surface (210), an electromagnetic lens (220) to focus electromagnetic rays transmitted from the set of transmitting elements (320A-K), a convex secondary antenna (240) operative to reflect the electromagnetic rays and a concave parabolic primary antenna (230) operative to transmit the electromagnetic rays in a first direction such that, the lens, the convex secondary antenna and the concave parabolic primary antenna together provide a transmitting gain in the first direction. The set of transmitting elements are disposed at central area of the planar surface and the set of receiving elements are disposed on the periphery of the central area such that the set of receiving elements occupy larger area on the planar surface compared to the set of transmitting elements.
Antenna radomes forming a cut-off pattern
An antenna system includes a circularly-polarized antenna element with a Down/Up ratio in a proximity of a local horizon of no better than 12 dB. An antenna radome encloses the antenna element, the radome providing a drop of antenna pattern near a local horizon and having an upper transparent area and a lower semi-transparent area. The semi-transparent area is has a generally hemispherical shape. The semi-transparent area includes a circular metallized portion with vertical and horizontal slots, the metallized portion extending part of the way downward from an equator of the generally hemispherical shape. The metallized portion includes passive discrete electrical elements connected across at least some of the slots. The metallized portion can include multiple areas having different degrees of transparence. Each such area has a specified impedance. The discrete elements are capacitors, inductors and/or resistors. The metallized portion can have a plurality of circular rows separated by the horizontal slots.
Antenna array assembly
An antenna array assembly comprises a ground plate, an array of radiator elements disposed in a spaced relationship with a first face of the ground plate between first and second substantially parallel conductive walls projecting from the first face of the ground plate, and a first and second conductive plate. Each of the first and second conductive plates is electrically isolated from the ground plate, and each is disposed in an upstanding relationship to the first face of the ground plate in a substantially parallel relationship with the first and second conductive walls. This provides reduced radiation in at least one direction in the hemisphere on the opposite side of the ground plate to the first face.
Antenna desensitization system and design method thereof
Disclosed is an antenna desensitization system and a method for designing an antenna desensitization system. The system and method are operative to provide a configuration and positioning of an antenna desensitizer element, with respect to an antenna, to overcome a frequency detuning experienced during operation of such antenna. The antenna desensitizer element comprises one or a combination of more than one decoupling components selected from the group of a frequency selective surface, an electromagnetic band gap structure, a ferromagnetic material, an anisotropic material, a nanomaterial, a dielectric material, and a conductive material. The system and method are particularly suitable for reducing the antenna frequency detuning effects caused by an external agent, such as a user or operator of a mobile electronics device, during operation of such device.
Patch antenna array with improved radiation efficiency
An antenna assembly includes an array of patch antennas arranged above a rectangular ground plane. The patch antennas are arranged in a sequence beginning at a first end of the rectangular ground plane and continuing across a width of the rectangular ground plane to a second end. With regard to this sequence, a plurality of polarization feeds alternate between being adjacent a first corner to being adjacent a second corner of the patch antennas and/or a plurality of via walls alternate in orientation along portions of a first edge of the rectangular ground plane and along portions of a second edge of the rectangular ground plane.
AERIAL INVENTORY ANTENNA
The present invention teaches a frequency-scalable high-gain dual-polarization radio beam application platform for private, public, government, or military radio applications such as RFID (radio frequency identification), aerial and robotic inventory scanning, radio communications, telemetry, telecommand, aeronautical radionavigation, radiolocation, earth exploration, space research for terrestrial, air-to-ground, space-to-earth, or space-to-space uses.
Communication device comprising a retroreflective structure
The disclosure relates to suppressing surface waves in a communication device for a wireless communication system. The communication device includes a dielectric layer extending along a plane between a chassis and a glass layer, an antenna element configured to emit a radio wave, and a retroreflective structure extending inside the dielectric layer and being located adjacent to the antenna element, and where the retroreflective structure is configured to reflect the radio wave in an angle non-parallel to the plane. The retroreflective structure hence prevents parasitic channeling of the antenna energy into surface waves in and behind the glass layer and directs the radiation into the desired direction.
Smart speaker
The present disclosure provides a smart speaker, which comprises a first inner casing, a second inner casing, a first housing, a second housing, and a first director group. The first inner casing comprises at least one first speaking unit. The second inner casing is disposed on the first inner casing and comprises at least one second speaking unit and at least one active antenna module. The first housing surrounds and covers the first inner casing, and the second housing surrounds and covers the second inner casing. The first director group is disposed at one side of the second housing facing the second inner casing, and the position of the first director group corresponds to at least one active antenna module.
Pattern shaping of RF emission patterns
A metallic shaping plate located in the interior housing of a wireless device is disclosed. The metallic shaping plate may influence a radiation pattern being generated by a horizontal antenna array. The result may be an increase in the gain of the array.
