Multibeam Antenna
A multibeam antenna including a substrate, and further includes an antenna element, a first guiding apparatus, and a second guiding apparatus disposed on the substrate. The antenna element includes a first pole configured to receive a feeding signal and a second pole that is grounded. The first guiding apparatus enables a first beam generated by the antenna element to radiate in a first direction, and the second guiding apparatus enables a second beam generated by the antenna element to radiate in a second direction. A phase center of the antenna element is at an intersecting point of a first axis and a second axis, the first axis passing through a phase center of the first guiding apparatus and parallel to the first direction, and the second axis passing through a phase center of the second guiding apparatus and parallel to the second direction.
Electronic device with millimeter wave antennas on printed circuits
An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include one or more antennas and transceiver circuitry such as millimeter wave transceiver circuitry. The antennas may be formed from metal traces on printed circuits. A flexible printed circuit may have an area on which the transceiver circuitry is mounted. Protruding portions may extend from the area on which the transceiver circuitry is mounted and may be separated from the area on which the transceiver circuitry is mounted by bends. Antenna resonating elements such as patch antenna resonating elements and dipole resonating elements may be formed on the protruding portions and may be used to transmit and receive millimeter wave antenna signals through dielectric-filled openings in a metal electronic device housing or a dielectric layer such as a display cover layer formed from glass or other dielectric.

Wireless communication apparatus, wireless communication system, and communication method
A wireless communication apparatus includes a first conductor and a second conductor that function as a set of electrodes for wireless communication, a third conductor and a fourth conductor that function as another set of electrodes for wireless communication. A difference between a first distance between a centroid of the first conductor and a centroid of the third conductor and a second distance between a centroid of the second conductor and the centroid of the third conductor is less than a width of the first conductor and a width of the second conductor. A third distance between the centroid of the first conductor and a centroid of the fourth conductor is longer than the first distance. A fourth distance between the centroid of the second conductor and the centroid of the fourth conductor is longer than the second distance.

ANTENNA DEVICE
An antenna device including a transparent antenna element that can be provided at a position visible from outside of a transparent cover of an electronic apparatus is provided.
An antenna device includes a flexible substrate that is transparent and that is to be provided on an inner surface side opposite to an outer surface of a transparent cover, made of glass or resin, of an electronic apparatus, and an antenna element that is transparent and that is to be provided at a position, of the flexible substrate, that is visible from outside of the transparent cover, the antenna element having a directivity oriented toward an outside of the electronic apparatus.
SIGNAL RADIATION DEVICE AND ANTENNA STRUCTURE
A signal radiation device and an antenna structure are provided. The signal radiation device includes a first signal radiator, a second signal radiator, and a reflective signal radiator. The first signal radiator is configured to perform a transceiving operation on a first signal along a first direction. The second signal radiator is disposed by overlapping with the first signal radiator, and is configured to perform the transceiving operation on at least one second signal along a second direction and/or a third direction. The first direction, the second direction, and the third direction are different. The reflective signal radiator is disposed between the first signal radiator and the second signal radiator, and is configured to perform the transceiving operation on a third signal omnidirectionally. A frequency band of the third signal is lower than a frequency band of the first signal and a frequency band of the second signal.
High confidence isolated presence detection in fine resolution region
A radio presence-advertising signal (PAS) a PAS emitter is simultaneously received at two or more co-located directional antennas that are coupled to respective radio receivers. The antennas have reception sensitivity lobes that overlap to define a region of interest at the overlap. Substantially cotemporaneous signal strength indications are obtained from the radio receivers. A difference signal representative of a difference between two of the obtained signal strength indications of the respective antennas is generated. An average signal representative of a running average of two or more of the obtained signal strength indications is generated and used to produce a normalized confidence indicator indicating a level of confidence that the PAS emitter is disposed inside (e.g., centered in) the region of interest or alternatively indicating a level of confidence that the PAS emitter is disposed outside the region of interest. Action is taken or avoided based on the confidence signal.
