A method for antenna selection and related products are provided. The method is applicable to a user terminal equipment including four internal-antenna groups and one external-antenna group. The four internal-antenna groups are distributed around a periphery of the user terminal equipment. Each internal-antenna group includes two internal antennas with different polarization directions. The external-antenna group is electrically coupled to the user terminal equipment. The method includes the following. Whether the user terminal equipment is coupled to the external-antenna group is determined. When the user terminal equipment is coupled to the external-antenna group and the external-antenna group is determined to be enabled, two target internal antennas are determined from any of the four internal-antenna groups or two adjacent internal-antenna groups among the four internal-antenna groups. A target antenna group is formed according to the two target internal antennas and two external antennas to receive and transmit radio frequency signals.

An information handling system (IHS) may include a configuration sensor for sensing a physical configuration of the IHS, a first proximity sensor probe for sensing whether a first biological entity element is proximate to a first antenna, a second proximity sensor probe for sensing whether a second biological entity element is proximate to a second antenna, and a third proximity sensor probe for sensing whether a third biological entity element is proximate to a third antenna. The IHS is adapted to reconfigure use of at least two of the first antenna, the second antenna, and the third antenna in response to the sensing of at least one of the first proximity sensor probe, the second proximity sensor probe, and the third proximity sensor.

The transition structure further includes an intermediate layer signal element coupled to the first layer signal element and a plurality of intermediate layer ground elements surrounding the intermediate layer signal element quasi-coaxially. A multilayer transition structure including a multilayer structure and the transition structure is also provided. Therefore, the problem of operating frequency caused by the thickness of the multilayer structure can be overcome, thereby increasing the resonance frequency of the multilayer structure.

A method for determining presence of an object via a vehicular radar sensing system includes providing a radar sensor having a plurality of antennas, which includes a plurality of transmitting antennas and a plurality of receiving antennas. The plurality of antennas includes a plurality of sets of antennas, each set having a V shape or an X shape, and with each of the shaped sets of antennas having an apex. A signal feed is provided to the apex of each of the shaped sets of antennas. A radar beam is transmitted via the plurality of transmitting antennas and side lobes of the transmitted radar beam are reduced via the plurality of shaped sets of antennas. An output of the receiving antennas is communicated to a processor, and the processor determines presence of one or more objects exterior the vehicle and within the field of sensing of the radar sensor.

The first antenna group includes one or more first antenna elements of which the phase centers of the antenna elements are laid out at each first layout spacing following a first axis direction, and a shared antenna element. The second antenna group includes a plurality of second antenna elements and the one shared antenna element, and the phase centers of the antenna elements are laid out in two columns at each second layout spacing following a second axis direction that is different from the first axis direction. The phase centers of the antenna elements included in each of the two columns differ from each other regarding position in the second axis direction.

A transportable, resilient, high frequency system with a compact footprint is provided. The system may include a plurality of antenna elements arranged around a circle. A circular array provides a resilient radiation pattern that does not change based on the number of antennas in the array and is tolerant of errors in antenna placement. The gain of the system may be increased by increasing the number of antenna elements in the array to compensate for reduced efficiency of antenna elements having a radiating element with a length of less than half the wavelength of an operating frequency of the array.

The electronic device includes a housing, and a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed in an inner space of the housing and includes at least one first conductive contact exposed at least partially and electrically connected to a wireless communication circuit; and an antenna structure disposed on the PCB, including at least one first antenna element and at least one second conductive contact exposed at least partially and electrically connected to the at least one first antenna element. The at least one first conductive contact is electrically connected to the at least one second conductive contact when the antenna structure is combined with the PCB. The wireless communication circuit is configured to form a directional beam through the at least one first antenna element.

The present invention relates to a base station antenna, comprising: a plurality of first radiating elements that are arranged as a first vertically-extending array; a plurality of second radiating elements that are arranged as a second vertically-extending array, where the second radiating elements are staggered in the vertical direction with respect to the first radiating elements; wherein phase centers in an azimuth plane for first sub-arrays of the first radiating elements are substantially the same as phase centers in the azimuth plane for respective third sub-arrays of the second radiating elements, and wherein the first sub-arrays each have a first number of first radiating elements and the third sub-arrays each have a second number of second radiating elements, the first number being different than the second number. This can effectively improve the pattern of the base station antenna.
