An electrical male terminal of this invention includes a clamp or crimp area, a main body, and a blade. Protruding members and support members of the main body act as overstress protection. A panel shield member protects a protruding guide member. In another embodiment of this invention, a protruding member extends from a first support member of the main body, and a cut-out portion at the lower portion of the main body accommodates therein the protruding member to prevent the tang member from inadvertently or accidentally rotating relative to the lower portion of the main body. Furthermore, in this another embodiment of the electrical male terminal of this invention, a protrusion extends from the unattached end portion of the lever member for allowing the lever member to deflect upward when the protruding member of the unattached end portion interacts with an internal protrusion of a housing or connector assembly, thereby making it more difficult to remove the electrical male terminal from the housing or connector assembly, thereby protecting the electrical male terminal from inadvertently falling out during use.

An electrical terminal for coupling to a conductive structure includes a body having a wire receiving portion for receiving a conductor. A cup portion is electrically coupled with the wire receiving portion and a boss portion extends from the cup portion. An overmold structure of insulation material is formed on the cup portion and covers the cup portion sides. An aperture is formed in the body and extends through the cup portion and the boss portion for receiving a post of the conductive structure for securing the terminal to the conductive structure. A fastener is configured for engaging a post and securing the boss portion against the conductive structure. The boss portion is configured to surround the aperture for providing an electrically conductive surface free from insulation material for interfacing with the conductive structure. The fastener and post are contained in the cup portion and an insulative cap is configured for engaging the overmold structure and sealing the cup structure around the fastener and post of a conductive structure.

A cable assembly comprises a conductive cable including an exposed conductive first section having a first cross-section, and a second section adjacent the first second and having a second cross-section distinct from the first cross-section. A ferrule is positioned over the conductive cable and includes a body defining a seam formed therethrough in an axial direction. The ferrule defines a first body portion deformed into a cross-section corresponding to the first portion of the conductive cable, and a second body portion deformed into a cross-section corresponding to the second portion of the conductive cable.

CRIMPING ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CRIMPING ELEMENT

The crimping element for holding a wire with a nominal diameter of approximately 0.1 mm or less comprises sheet-metal with a base portion extending in a base plane and a holding portion connected to the base portion. The holding portion comprises first and second clamping elements spaced apart from each other by a holding portion recess. The first element comprises a first clamping portion extending in a first plane and connected to the base portion and a second clamping portion, forming a first clamping region for holding the wire. The second element comprises a third clamping portion extending in a second plane and connected to the base portion and a fourth clamping portion, forming a second clamping region for holding the wire The first plane forms a first angle approximately -10° with the base portion plane. The second plane forms a second angle approximately -10° with the first plane.

An induction heating device for heating and/or melting a heat affected product zone of shaving or cosmetic products stored in a product container which consists of a layer of the product heated by an electrically conductive metallic target member having through-passages overlying the top product surface and energized by an induction coil into which an electromagnet field is generated by electronic circuitry for a predetermined time period into the product container, thereby permitting the heated and or melted product to flow through the through-passages onto the top surface of the target member to be collected by a user for shaving or cosmetic purposes.

TERMINAL-EQUIPPED ELECTRIC WIRE AND CONNECTOR-EQUIPPED ELECTRIC WIRE

It is an object to provide a technique with which the length of a portion of a terminal-equipped electric wire disposed in a cavity of a connector housing can be shortened. A terminal-equipped electric wire including: a coated electric wire including a conductor core wire and an insulation coating that covers the conductor core wire; a joint terminal connected to the conductor core wire; a connector terminal to be connected to a partner terminal; a single-core relay conductor in which one end thereof is connected to the joint terminal and another end thereof is connected to the connector terminal; and a sealing member that covers an intermediate portion of the relay conductor. A wire barrel of the joint terminal is crimped to the conductor core wire and the relay conductor at the same position in a longitudinal direction of the joint terminal.

Crimping Tool

A crimping tool used for crimping terminals and wires includes a driving mechanism, a crimping mechanism and a plurality of adjustable elements. The crimping mechanism includes a compensation element and a crimping block, wherein the compensation element includes an accommodating space, an accommodating groove and a plurality of through holes. The accommodating groove and the through holes communicate with the accommodating space. The accommodating groove is used for accommodating the terminal. The crimping block is connected to the driving mechanism and movably disposed in the accommodating space. Each of the adjustable elements is movably disposed in each of the through holes such that it can be moved into the accommodating space to be against the crimping block such that the convex teeth of the crimping block are aligned with a plurality of pins on the terminal.

A communication system is included in a work string. The communication system includes a communication cable and a crimp sleeve. The communication cable has a housing with a communication line and a metal tube therein, a free line end of the communication line and a free tube end of the metal tube extending from an open end of the housing. The crimp sleeve includes a first sleeve section having a first inner diameter configured to receive the open end of the housing, a second sleeve section having a second inner diameter configured to receive the free tube end of the metal tube, and an opening configured to allow the free line end of the communication line to pass out of the crimp sleeve.

Wire harness, method of connecting terminal and coated wire, and mold

The height (F) of a protruding portion (7) is less than the thickness of a crimping portion (5) before crimping. If the height of the protruding portion (7) is greater than the thickness of the crimping portion, then a recess is prone to form in the inner surface of the crimping portion (5). In other words, because there is more metal flowing outwards, a recess corresponding to the metal flow is prone to form on the inner surface side. If such a recess does form, adhesion with a covered area (27) is likely to deteriorate. This is problematic because such a gap would be a path allowing the ingress of moisture. On the other hand, if the height of the protruding portion (7) is less than the thickness of the crimping portion (5) before crimping, then when the crimping portion (5) is compressed during crimping, the amount of metal flowing towards the protruding portion (7) diminishes, making it possible to suppress the formation of a receding portion on the inner surface of the crimping portion (5).
