Apparatus for making electrically conductive contact with an electrically conductive, elongated, body, for example a pipe or cable. Apparatus includes a base body having a metal carrier element configured as a clamp clampable around body to be contacted, and open in circumferential direction. Apparatus includes a connecting device with a connecting member, by which ends of carrier element are connectable or connected to one another when mounted. Apparatus has a contact device for establishing electrically conductive connection between body contacted and conductor, such as grounding cable. A connecting member configured for cooperating with a guide device for guiding translatory motion of connecting member, and situated at free ends of carrier element so that in mounted position of apparatus, translatory motion of the connecting member between a guide start and a guide end of guide device achieves a nondestructively detachable form fit, connecting free ends of the carrier element.

A swivel joint includes a tail section and a body portion that define a passageway therethrough and which can rotate relative to one another. One or more seals and bearings can be disposed between the tail section and the body portion. An electrical conductivity grease fitting can be mounted within a bore hole in the body portion. The electrical conductivity grease fitting can have a lubricant passed therethrough to lubricate the bearings. The electrical conductivity grease fitting has a first portion in electrical communication with the body portion and a second portion that is biased into electrical communication with the tail section to maintain electrical conductivity between the tail section and the body portion.

Insulating apparatus for metallic busbar

An insulating apparatus for a metallic busbar is disposed on an interconnection part of a first strip and a second strip of the metallic busbar. The insulating apparatus includes a first insulated member, a second insulated member and a securing member. The first insulated member is formed with at least one slot. The second insulated member overlaps the first insulated member. The securing member passes through the second insulated member and the slot of the first insulated member to be slidably disposed in the slot, so that the first insulated member and the second insulated member are movable in a telescopic manner. The first insulated member and the second insulated member can cover the interconnection part of the first and second strips. The insulating problem of the interconnection part of a metallic busbar is solved, shortening the manufacturing period and manufacturing conveniently with lower cost.
