GROUND TERMINAL, COVER ASSEMBLY AND MOTOR COMPRISING SAME
20230198350 · 2023-06-22 ·

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a cover assembly and a motor comprising same, the cover assembly comprising: a cover plate; a ground terminal disposed on the cover plate; and a capacitor connected to the ground terminal by means of a wire. The ground terminal comprises: a body unit; a ground unit bent from one area of the upper end of the body unit to a first direction; clip units extending from both sides of the body unit to a second direction that is opposite from the first direction; and a coupling unit extending from the lower part of the body unit. The wire is coupled to the clip units by means of insertion. Accordingly, the present invention enables the wire of the capacitor to be fixed in a temporarily assembled state and thus enables an automation process during assembly of the motor.

Grounding system and method for providing electrical contact between two components

A grounding system for electrically connecting a first component to a second component. A connection plate has a hole and is configured to be in electrical contact with the first component. A receptacle plate is in electrical contact with the connection plate, and has a receptacle opening aligned with and larger than the hole. A pin has a first end configured to be electrically connected to the second component and an opposed second end receivable through the receptacle opening and through the hole. An electrical connector is retained in electrical contact with the pin. The electrical connector is movable along the pin and biased toward the second end, receivable in the receptacle opening and configured to be in electrical contact with a circumferential surface of the receptacle opening, and has an outer dimension greater than that of the hole so as to be prevented from passing therethrough.

Two-Way Crimpless Butt Connector
20170358871 · 2017-12-14 ·

A two-way crimpless butt connector is provided. The butt connector includes a cylindrical housing including a pair of open ends providing two-way entry into the housing, a cylindrical conduit including a pair of open ends each configured to receive an end of a wire therein, and a fastener configured to secure and adjoin the pair of wire ends in the conduit. The fastener includes bendable teeth disposed on the open ends of the conduit. The teeth protrude radially inwardly and form an opening including a diameter smaller than a diameter of the wire ends. When a wire end is inserted into the conduit, the teeth bend with the wire end, thereby engaging the wire end and securing it within the conduit. In this way, the wire ends may be inserted into the housing, adjoined, and locked in the conduit without the use of a crimper, thereby establishing an electrical connection therebetween.

EQUIPOTENTIAL MAT USING WIRE MESH NETTING
20230187852 · 2023-06-15 ·

Disclosed is an equipotential (EPZ) matting for creating an equipotential zone at a work site. A wire mesh of the EPZ matting is constructed by first cutting desired lengths of cable and laying the lengths of cable parallel and adjacent to each other. The cables are then connected to one another at regularly spaced intervals along the cables using pressed metal ferrules. The connections are staggered as between adjacent cables to create an evenly spaced, open mesh pattern when the wire mesh is tensioned perpendicularly to the longitudinal axes of the cables when initially laid along side one another. The wire mesh is opened and pulled tight for use as EPZ matting on the work site. After work is completed, the mesh is closed and bundled for transport, storage, and re-use.
