A bus bar connector system and an electrical distribution center suitable for use in a motor vehicle including such a bus bar connection system is presented. The bus bar connector system includes a first bus bar, a second bus bar, and a spring clip configured to apply a contact force to the first and second bus bars effective to bring at least a portion the first and second bus bars into intimate contact with one another. The spring clip may comprise two longitudinal spring arms each extending from a lateral spring base interconnecting the spring arms. These spring arms are angled toward one another and end portions of the spring arms may be angled away from one another, thereby forming an hourglass or X-shaped spring clip. The end portions of the spring arms may be configured to retain the spring clip within a slot defined by a connector housing.

A holder for supporting electrified inserts that may vary in width, comprises a base having a groove into which the insert can be placed. Two or more gaskets can be positioned in the groove with each gasket including a resilient section adapted to engage the insert so as to retain the insert securely in place within the groove. Each of the gaskets also includes an electrical conductor, such as an electrical wire, which may be embedded in the gasket, in a position where it makes electrical contact with the electrical terminals on the insert.

Low profile electrical terminal assembly

An electrical terminal assembly is provided for use in a low-profile electrical raceway or the like. The terminal assembly includes first and second conductive bodies and an insulator disposed between them. The first body has at least two branches including respective electrical terminals extending outwardly from a main or central portion, with the terminals positioned in a terminal plane. The second body also has at least two branches including respective electrical terminals extending outwardly from a main or central portion, with the terminals positioned in the same terminal plane as the terminals of the first body. The terminals of the second body are positioned next to respective terminals of the first body. The central portions of the first and second bodies are stacked atop one another and therefore lie in different planes, at least one of which is different from the terminal plane.

The first cross terminal receives the strip busbar at a first end thereof and is configured to receive the first blade terminal at a second end thereof. The second cross terminal receives the strip busbar at a first end thereof and is configured to receive the second blade terminal at a second end thereof.

HOLDING FRAME FOR A PLUG-TYPE CONNECTOR
20170012400 · 2017-01-12 ·

A holding frame for a plug-type connector is intended to have good heat resistance and a high level of mechanical robustness and, when installed in a metallic plug-type connector housing, enable protective grounding while at the same time being convenient to use, in particular during the replacement of individual modules. To this end, it is proposed to manufacture the holding frame at least partially from spring-elastic sheet metal. For this purpose, the holding frame can have a basic portion and a deformation portion, which are formed from different materials. The basic portion is used for fixing an accommodated module in a plane. The deformation portion can assume an insertion state and a holding state, wherein the insertion state permits insertion of at least one module into the holding frame in a direction transverse to the plane and an accommodated module is fixed in the holding state.
