Systems for dynamically adjustable grounding connections
A grounding contact configured to electrically couple a first chassis wall to a second chassis wall, that includes a standoff a magnet, and a contact element, where the standoff is rigidly coupled to the first chassis wall, where the contact element is directly contacting the second chassis wall, and where the contact element is disposed between the magnet and the second chassis wall.
TWIST-LOCK ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
A twist-lock electrical connector includes first and second connector portions each having a respective interface end portion and longitudinal axes. The first connector has a projection and the second connector has a corresponding bore along the connectors' respective longitudinal axes. Two electrical contacts are located at opposite sides of the projection at the first interface end portion, and two other electrical contacts are located at opposite sides of the bore at the second interface end portion. The interface end portions are configured to engage one another at a first rotational orientation in which the bore receives the projection when the first and second longitudinal axes are made substantially coaxial and the connector portions are brought together along their axes. The interface end portions further engage one another at a second rotational orientation in which the first pair of electrical contacts electrically engage the second pair of electrical contacts.
Plug connector part with a latching element
A plug connector part fix a plug connector includes a housing part; a plug portion which is arranged on the housing part for plug-in connection to another plug connector part; a latching element which is arranged in a movable manner on the housing part and has a latching portion that locks to the other plug connector part, the latching element being movable between a first, locking position for establishing locking between the plug connector part and the other plug connector part and a second, unlocking, position for unlocking the plug connector part from the other plug connector part; and a fixing device to fix the latching element in the first, locking position. The fixing device releases a fixing provided by the fixing device in the first, locking position by applying a force to the latching element that is greater than a predetermined fixing force.
Electrically connecting device, electrical connector, and mating connector
An electrically connecting device includes an electrical connector and a mating connector detachably connected to the electrical connector. The electrical connector includes an insulating base, a central terminal, an outer terminal, and a magnetic member, which are fixed in the insulating base. The outer terminal includes an annular contact having a center located at the central terminal. The mating connector includes an insulating body, a first terminal, a second terminal, and a mating magnetic member, which are fixed in the insulating body. When the electrical connector and the mating connector are relatively rotated along the central terminal in 360 degrees, the magnetic member and the mating magnetic member are configured to attract with each other to form an annularly magnetic region, so that the central terminal and the annular contact are maintained to respectively contact with the first terminal and the second terminal.
Apparatus for establishing an electrical contact with a target surface
An apparatus with (a) a conformable contact member with a base and a contact layer; and (b) a magnet integral with or attached to the base, wherein, when the apparatus is placed on a target surface, the magnet and the target surface attract each other such that the contact layer is secured against the target surface.
PLUG CONNECTOR HAVING A TERMINAL PROTECTOR
A plug connector (100) includes: a sleeve (1) having a receiving cavity (11); and a terminal module (10) including a fixed body (7) received in the receiving cavity (11), an insulative housing (11) located in front of the fixed body (7) and extended beyond the sleeve (1), a magnetic element (6) received in the sleeve (1), a plurality of movable terminals (4), and plural elastic elements (5), the insulative housing (11) having a number of through holes (31), the other end of the elastic element (5) bearing against the fixed body (7), the movable terminals (4) in non-retracted state being located inwardly of the insulative housing (3), the insulative housing (3) being operable to move backwards urging against the elastic elements (5) and exposing the movable terminals (4) in retracted state out of the insulative housing (3); wherein the movable terminals (4) are sheathed in the elastic elements (5).
Magnet wire bonding method and bonding structure
The present invention relates to a magnet wire bonding method and a bonding structure, and more particularly to a new improvement for ultrasonically bonding a longitudinal outer peripheral surface of a magnet wire having no entangling part to a flat surface of a flat part of a terminal pin. A magnet wire bonding method and structure, comprising: using a terminal pin (11) having a flat plate part (40) provided in a pin part (11a) as a terminal pin holding part (3); placing a magnet wire (13) in a longitudinally spread state on a flat surface (40a) of the flat plate part (40) without being entangled; and ultrasonically bonding an outer peripheral surface (13E) of the magnet wire (13) onto the flat surface (40a) with an ultrasonic horn (50).
Methods and systems for magnetic coupling
Systems and methods for magnetic coupling. One system includes an external computing device and a connector having a conductive end. The system also includes a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board includes a connector side opposite a back side. The connector side has a contact pad with an aperture. The printed circuit board also includes a magnet positioned on the back side of the printed circuit board. The magnet provides a magnetic field configured to provide magnetic attraction forces to a connector contacting the contact pad. The printed circuit board also includes a communication terminal. The system also includes a circuit in communication with the printed circuit board through the connector and contact pad.
Magnetic arrangements and labels for connectors
Magnetic connectors that may be readily manufactured and provide a high landed force and labels for magnetic connectors that may protect magnets or magnetic elements in the connectors, provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and improve the magnetic performance of the connectors. In various examples, power and signal paths may be formed using contacts that are separate from magnets or magnetic elements, paths may be formed using magnets or magnetic elements, or paths may be formed using a combination of contacts and magnets and magnetic elements.
