ELECTRICAL STIMULATOR FOR PERIPHERAL STIMULATION

Neurostimulation assemblies, systems, and methods make possible the providing of short-term therapy or diagnostic testing by providing electrical connections between muscles and/or nerves inside the body and stimulus generators and/or recording instruments mounted on the surface of the skin or carried outside the body. The assembly affords maximum patient mobility and comfort through differentiated components having minimal profiles and connected by way of detachable and adjustable connections.

Dynamic scalable attachment mechanism for client devices

A magnetic flexible cable disposed in the housing of a device has an extended position to engage with a corresponding receptacle on another device. The flexible magnetic cable includes a flanged end that limits the distance of extension when the flexible magnetic cable is in the extended position. A retractor can retain the flexible magnetic cable fully within the housing of the first device when the flexible magnetic cable is not engaged with the corresponding receptacle on the second device.

Functional modules of a modular system include two or more ferrous conductors, each conductor having a separate magnet associated therewith that is electrically isolated from other conductors and magnets. Circuitry within functional modules is electrically connected to the ferrous conductors. The ferrous conductors of the functional modules are configured to be magnetically attracted to, contact, and receive power from ferrous conductors of a power delivery module.

Magnetic power connection

An electrical socket includes a magnet connected to a shield. The shield blocks access to receptacles of the socket when the magnet is at a rest position but moves away and allows access to the receptacles when the magnet is moved away from its rest position. The magnet is attached to a spring so that the spring pulls the magnet toward the rest position. A plug includes a plug magnet to attract the socket's magnet. When the plug is brought close to the socket, the socket magnet is pulled away from the rest position, moving the shield away and allowing the plug to be inserted.

Electrodes, electrode systems, and methods of manufacture

Multilayer electrodes, electrode systems, and stimulation systems are disclosed. An electrode may include a conductive layer with a unitary tail, a connector disposed on a distal end of the tail, and a nonconductive top layer disposed along a top portion of the conductive layer. An electrode may include a magnetic lead connector socket, or a receptacle formed by a depression in the conductive layer configured to receive a male connector. An electrode system may include a plurality of conductive zones and a plurality of connectors. A stimulation system may include an electronics layer in electrical contact with a conductive layer via a puncture connection, and may provide an iontophoretic treatment followed by a TENS treatment. Other electrodes, systems and methods are also disclosed.
