SENSING DEVICE FOR FOOTWEAR
A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor configured to sense changes in a capacitance signal in response to proximity of a body. A dielectric member can be provided between the capacitive sensor and the body to enhance an output signal from the sensor.
Lacing apparatus for automated footwear platform
Systems and apparatus related to automated tightening of a footwear platform including a footwear lacing apparatus are discussed. In an example, a footwear lacing apparatus can include a housing structure, a spool, and a drive mechanism. The housing structure can include a top section and a bottom section. The spool can include a superior surface, a lace spool under the superior surface and a spool shaft with a keyed connection pin. The spool can also be integrated into the top section of the housing structure. The drive mechanism can couple with the spool via the keyed connection pin on the spool shaft. The drive mechanism can be adapted to rotate the spool to tighten or loosen a lace cable integrated into the footwear.
Foot strike analyzer system and methods
Systems, methods, and software products analyze foot strikes. A runner profile defining characteristics of a user and a shoe type of the shoes is received. Shoe characteristics are retrieved based upon the shoe type. A model of shoe wear is configured based upon both the runner profile and the shoe characteristics. Sensor data indicative of movement of a runner's foot is received from a foot strike monitor configured with the shoes and processed through the model to determine a user's expected lifetime for the shoes. The user's expected lifetime is indicated to the user.
Footwear covering system
A footwear covering system is provided to permit the movement of a footwear covering from a first position, in which it is retained in a retention structure of a leg covering, to a second position in which the footwear covering at least partially covers an article of footwear.
HAPTIC TRANSDUCER AND FOOTPLATE COUPLED TO THE SAME
A haptic transducer is provided, comprising a motor including a yoke, an inner cavity formed by the yoke, and a magnet assembly disposed within the inner cavity; a diaphragm disposed above the magnet assembly; a suspension extending concentrically around the diaphragm and having an inner edge attached to the diaphragm and an outer edge attached to the yoke; a cylindrical coil coupled to the diaphragm and suspended within the inner cavity around the magnet assembly; a first hole extending through the motor; and a second hole axially aligned with the first hole and extending through the diaphragm, a fastener extending through the first hole into the second hole. A footplate system is also provided, comprising a footplate configured for placement in a piece of footwear; a moving motor transducer configured to transfer haptic sensations to the footplate; and a top fastener configured to secure the haptic transducer to the footplate.
FOOTWEAR ITEM COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR STORING INFORMATION OR AN OBJECT
The invention relates to a footwear item comprising a device for storing information or an object. The footwear item comprises a sole (1) including a front part (201) and a rear part (101), with a hole (2) being provided in the sole (1) that opens onto the front part (200) or the rear part (100) of the footwear item (0). The footwear item (0) also comprises: a casing (3, 4) inserted into the hole (2) in the sole (1), said casing (3, 4) comprising a duct (3) for storing information or an object, said duct (3) comprising an opening (153) and a closed part (353); a means for anchoring the duct (3) in the hole (2) in the sole (1), designed to secure the duct (3) to the sole (1), allowing same to be secured to one another permanently; and a cover (4) hermetically sealing the opening (153) in the duct (3) such that the casing (3, 4) is leak-tight.
Cycling shoe power sensors
A cycling shoe for measuring power includes a sole having a pocket in the bottom of the sole. A sensor platform having a plurality of sensors, at least one sensor on a top of the sensor platform and at least one sensor on the bottom of the sensor platform, is inserted into the pocket. A platform cover and a cleat are attached to the sole over the sensors. Force applied to a pedal clipped to the cleat is measured and processed.
Footwear Having Sensor System
An article of footwear includes an upper member and a sole structure, with a sensor system connected to the sole structure. The sensor system includes a plurality of sensors that are configured for detecting forces exerted by a user's foot on the sensor. The sensor system also includes a port that is configured to receive a module to place the module in communication with the sensors. The port includes a housing with a chamber configured to receive the module and an interface engaged with the housing and having at least one electrical contact exposed to the chamber. Additional retaining structure and interface structure may be included.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH MULTIPLE LAYERS, RETENTION SYSTEM FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A knitted component may form at least a portion of an article of footwear. For example, a first knit layer may be located on an inner side of an article of footwear such that the first layer is adjacent to a void, and a second layer may at least partially surround the first layer and form an outer surface of the article of footwear. An interstitial space may be formed between the first layer and the second layer. At least one pocket may be located within the interstitial space.
