Lacing apparatus for automated footwear platform
Systems and apparatus related to automated tightening of a footwear platform including a footwear lacing apparatus are discussed. In an example, a footwear lacing apparatus can include a housing structure, a spool, and a drive mechanism. The housing structure can include a top section and a bottom section. The spool can include a superior surface, a lace spool under the superior surface and a spool shaft with a keyed connection pin. The spool can also be integrated into the top section of the housing structure. The drive mechanism can couple with the spool via the keyed connection pin on the spool shaft. The drive mechanism can be adapted to rotate the spool to tighten or loosen a lace cable integrated into the footwear.
ACCESSORY FOR FOOTWEAR
An accessory for lace-up shoes, including a body with a containing part and an anchoring part, wherein a pocket of predetermined width is formed in the containing part and wherein the anchoring part is adapted to be anchored to a lace-up shoe, where the anchoring part is provided with stable but reversible anchoring to the lace of the shoe, such that the body can be anchored to the lace-up shoe by the lace only.
Foot covering with divided sole
In one possible embodiment, the inventive subject matter is directed to a foot covering, comprising: a thin, flexible compartment for receiving a foot. The compartment has a forefoot section, a midfoot section, and a rearfoot section of selected rigidity. The compartment has a top surface for securing the foot and a ground-facing surface having a sole divided into at least two portions comprising (1) a forefoot portion and midfoot portion and/or (2) a midfoot portion and a rearfoot portion. At least one sole portion comprises a midfoot portion disposed between a forefoot portion and/or a rearfoot portion. In the foot covering, each pair of sole portions is divided along a flexural line running generally transverse to the longitudinal axis of the foot. The sole portions and flexural line(s), in combination with the flexible compartment, have a material construction and are arranged so as to facilitate the close conforming of the foot covering to the foot of an intended user through plantar flexion to dorsiflexion.
SOLE STRUCTURE FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a midsole having a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and a peripheral surface extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. The bottom surface includes a recess defining a first opening in the peripheral surface. The sole structure for an article of footwear also includes an insert disposed within the recess and including a first material having a first gloss unit value and a second material disposed on an outer surface of the first material and having a second gloss unit value. The second material is at least partially disposed within the first opening.
LIGHT SYMBOL PROJECTION DEVICE
A light symbol projection device is disclosed. The light symbol projection device has a housing which is temporarily secured within a receiving mechanism. The receiving mechanism is embedded within a product such as, for example, a shoe. The light symbol housing may project, in various colors, a word, pattern, symbol, logo or other indicia on the ground. The light symbol housing may be interchangeable so that the receiving mechanism may receive various light symbol housings having different light projections. In one embodiment, a speaker associated with the device may also provide an audible sound.
Article of footwear with multiple layers, retention system for an article of footwear, and methods of manufacture
A knitted component may form at least a portion of an article of footwear. For example, a first knit layer may be located on an inner side of an article of footwear such that the first layer is adjacent to a void, and a second layer may at least partially surround the first layer and form an outer surface of the article of footwear. An interstitial space may be formed between the first layer and the second layer. At least one pocket may be located within the interstitial space.
Co-molded 3D elements
Describes are support elements for a sole of a shoe, in particular a sports shoe, a sole and a shoe with such a support element, as well as a method for the manufacture of a support element. As examples, the support element includes a first partial member formed of a first material, and a second partial member formed of a second material. The first partial member is mechanically joined to the second partial member in a connection region, wherein the connection region is configured to allow the first partial member to rotate or slide relative to the second partial member. The first partial member, the second partial member, and the connection region can be co-molded and joined together in a single fabricating step.
FOOT PRESENCE SENSING SYSTEMS FOR ACTIVE FOOTWEAR
A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor configured to sense changes in a capacitance signal in response to proximity of a body. A dielectric member can be provided between the capacitive sensor and the body to enhance an output signal from the sensor.
FOOTWEAR INSOLE WITH ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
A footwear insole assembly includes individual electrodes situated within an insole configured to activate in response to applied pressure from a user's foot. The insole includes a upper surface wherein a plurality of pockets are formed in the upper surface. A plurality of pressure sensors are located in the insole and are configured to detect a compressive force on the insole. A plurality of electrodes are located within at least one of the plurality of pockets and in communication with the plurality of pressure sensors. A power supply is configured to transmit power to the plurality of electrodes in response to detected pressure from the plurality of pressure sensors.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR AND A METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF THE ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear can include provisions for facilitating the installation of various components. During manufacture of the article of footwear, the upper and/or sole structure can include one or more specialized compartments designed to receive the components. The components can be installed in compartments after manufacture of the article of footwear. In some cases, the components can be used to perform different functions in a motorized tensioning system.
