CONDUCTOR TERMINAL AND SET FORMED OF THE CONDUCTOR TERMINAL AND AN ACTUATION TOOL
A conductor terminal with an insulating material housing and a spring-force terminal connection. The spring-force terminal connection has a contact body which is shaped out of a sheet element and has a base portion, lateral wall portions that protrude from the base portion and are mutually spaced, and solder connection contact tongues. The base portion together with the lateral wall portions forms a conductor receiving channel for receiving an electric conductor, and leaf spring tongues protrude from the lateral wall portions so as to face one another, each leaf spring tongue has a clamping edge for clamping an electric conductor received in the conductor receiving channel. The insulating material housing has a conductor insertion opening which leads to the conductor receiving channel on the front face.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
In a connector assembly in which a first connector and a second connector are fitted to each other, a first shell, which has a rectangular frame-like shape and serves as an outer shell of the first connector, includes curved portions on upper ends of respective sides of the rectangle, and a second shell, which has a rectangular frame-like shape and serves as an outer shell of the second connector, includes convex portions, which are elongated along respective sides to be slender, on outer surfaces on the sides of the rectangle. The curved portions and the convex portions are positioned so that the curved portions and the convex portions are partially overlapped with each other. The convex portions are in contact with the first shell through the entire lengths, and the curved portions are in contact with the second shell through the entire lengths.

SURFACE MOUNT CONNECTOR
A surface mount connector 10 is to be mounted on a circuit board 5 having a plate thickness direction oriented in a vertical direction, and provided with a plurality of terminals 11, a plurality of inner housings 20 for holding the plurality of terminals 11, and an outer housing 30 for accommodating the plurality of inner housings 20 in parallel. Leads 13 to be connected to the circuit board 5 are provided on lower end parts of the plurality of terminals 11. Each of the plurality of inner housings 20 is supported independently movably in the vertical direction in the outer housing 30.
High speed electrical connector and printed circuit board thereof
A stacked I/O connector with surface mountable tails and a printed circuit board (PCB) configured to receive the connector. The connector may avoid terminal deformations or scratches when the connector is mounted to the PCB. The PCB may include solder pads on a single surface or both surfaces. The sold pads may be configured for the tails of the connector to be attached with a surface mount soldering technique. As a result, the connector has high density and high speed, requires, requires a smaller mounting area on a PCB, relaxes the limitations in routing PCB traces, and reduces the electrical performance deterioration caused by PCB trace routing limitations. The connector may have row-oriented terminal subassemblies, holes in the connector housing and other features to facilitate reliable manufacture and operation of the connector.
IDCC connection system and process
An Insulation Displacement Contact Compliant connector system (IDCC) which includes a housing, header pins, and a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Each header pin has at least a single barb to be retained into the housing. Each pin has a blade for contacting a wire. A compliant feature on the pin retains itself into holes in the PCB. The housing has a negative space similarly shaped to the pin. The housing includes a strain relief which provides a lead-in for a wire. When the system is fully assembled, the pins reside in the housing, and exit through the housing and into and through respective holes in the PCB. A wire can be inserted into the housing once the pins reside in the housing. There are several options for the assembly process including a) a pin-to-housing insertion process; b) a housing assembly-to-PCB process or a connector-to-PCB process; and c) a wired housing assembly-to-PCB assembly process or a wire harness-to-PCB assembly process.
Backplane footprint for high speed, high density electrical connectors
A printed circuit board includes a plurality of layers including attachment layers and routing layers; and columns of via patterns formed in the plurality of layers, wherein via patterns in adjacent columns are offset in a direction of the columns, each of the via patterns comprising: first and second signal vias forming a differential signal pair, the first and second signal vias extending through at least the attachment layers; and at least one conductive shadow via located between the first and second signal vias of the differential pair. In some embodiments, at least one conductive shadow via is electrically connected to a conductive surface film.
HIGH VOLTAGE CONTACT SYSTEM
This disclosure provides a method and apparatus for connecting wires and interlocking wires to an electrical component. More specifically, an electrical connector that includes an insulative housing, two electrical contacts, and two interlocking contacts is disclosed. In an embodiment, each electrical contact includes a female end, a press-fit end, and a transition portion. The transition portion is designed such that the first female end and the first press-fit end may be properly aligned depending on the application. The transition portion also provides support and stability to the electrical contacts when they are disposed within the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes four contact recesses. In an embodiment, the electrical connector allows for the safe, efficient, re-usable, and reliable connection for connecting high-voltage wires to a corresponding sensitive electrical component (e.g., a printed circuit board).
