The second metal member includes a nugget portion where a part of the second metal member has been melted by heat of laser light and has re-solidified. A peripheral portion of the hole in the first metal member covers the nugget portion. A part of the nugget portion is exposed through the hole.

Cable connector system

A cable connector includes a cable including a center conductor and a housing supporting a portion of the center conductor. An imaginary line divides a cross-section of the center conductor into two semicircles, and when the cable connector is mated with a mating connector, only one of the two semicircles is directly connected with a corresponding contact of the mating connector.

Electrical feedthrough and medical device

An electrical feedthrough (1) is provided for improving the thermal properties and the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and also for simplified production of a medical instrument (7), in which electrical feedthrough individual contact pins (4), which are guided through a glass body (2) in a housing (20) of the instrument (7), are electrically connected to one another by a pluggable plug element (5), preferably in the form of a sheet metal part. Here, the plug element (5) firstly provides high thermal and electrical conductivity and secondly provides a shielding area that effectively prevents the input coupling of electromagnetic radiation. Preferably, the plug element (5) is formed in such a way that it independently develops a holding force for securing itself to the contact pins (4).

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, at least one flexible printed circuit board mounted in the insulating housing, at least one location block disposed to a middle of an outer surface of the at least one flexible printed circuit board, at least one elastic structure disposed on an outer surface of the at least one location block, and a shell. The at least one flexible printed circuit board includes an outer ground layer, a signal layer and an inner ground layer. The signal layer has a plurality of traces. Each trace has a main portion, at least one contact portion and a soldering portion. The shell surrounds the insulating housing, the at least one flexible printed circuit board, the at least one location block and the at least one elastic structure.

PLUG CONNECTOR WITH IMPROVED INSERTION RELIABILITY

A plug connector includes a housing, a built-in circuit board partially located in the housing, and a cable electrically connected to the built-in circuit board. The housing includes a mating surface. The built-in circuit board includes a tongue plate and a number of conductive pads provided on the tongue plate. The housing includes an extension plate extending along a mating direction of the plug connector. The tongue plate and the extension plate protrude beyond the mating surface along the mating direction. The extension plate further protrudes beyond the tongue plate along the mating direction. Two lateral sides of the plug connector also respectively include slots extending through the mating surface. As a result, the insertion reliability of the plug connector of the present disclosure is improved.

Connector Shield With Integrated Ground Piercing Contact

A connector shield for a flat flexible cable comprises a housing defining a connector space on a first end thereof for receiving a signal cable connector, and a cable space on a second end thereof for at least partially receiving an end of the flat flexible cable. The cable space defines a width greater than that of the connector space and a height less than that of the connector space. A plurality of contact elements extend from the housing and into the cable space for electrically contacting a conductive element of the flat flexible cable.

Shielded electric cable

A shielded electrical cable includes conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the films in combination substantially surround each conductor set. An adhesive layer bonds the shielding films together in the pinched portions of the cable.
