Low-Profile Single and Dual Vascular Access Device
A low-profile access port for subcutaneous implantation within a patient. The access port can include a set of receiving cups which can be placed in fluid communication with a catheter. The set of receiving cups can provide a greater skin surface with which to access the port to avoid repeated penetrations at a single locus, such as during consecutive dialysis treatments. The access port can alternatively include needle penetrable arms or elongate chambers that also have a slim, low profile. The access port can include a needle guide to direct subsequent needle access to different insertion points to permit healing at the previous insertion points. The access port can be formed of a modular construction with a first conduit, a second conduit, and an outer shell. The outer shell can include a proximal portion and a distal portion. The access port can include a stem assembly and a locking member.
DIALYSIS SYSTEM AND APPARATUS WITH INLINE INDUCTIVE FLUID HEATING
An inductive inline dialysis fluid heater is disclosed. In an example, a dialysis fluid heater includes a cylindrical tube including an inner diameter that is between 4.00 millimeters (“mm”) and 12.7 mm. The dialysis fluid heater also includes a susceptor located within the cylindrical tube and an inductive coil extending around the cylindrical tube in a non-contacting arrangement. The dialysis fluid heater further includes power electronics in electrical communication with the inductive coil and configured to supply an electrical current to the inductive coil, causing the susceptor to heat.
DUAL PORT DRAIN
The present invention relates to novel surgical drains and associated methods and systems. Specifically, the present invention includes a surgical drain with at least two ports. A first port drains lymphatic fluid from a subject for collection and analysis. The second port functions to introduce a therapeutic into the subject.

An injection port assembly may comprise a support body having a receptacle associated with a passage through the support body. The receptacle may have at least one recess in an end surface of the receptacle. The receptacle may have a plurality of retainer members. The assembly may further comprise a peripheral rim rib about a periphery of the support body and a number of additional ribs extending from the receptacle to the peripheral rim rib. The assembly may further comprise a delivery assembly coupled within the receptacle via the retainer members. The delivery assembly may have a cannula extending through the passage. The delivery assembly may have an injection receiving volume within the delivery assembly in fluid communication with a lumen of the cannula but otherwise fluidically sealed by a self-sealing barrier. There may be a sole externally accessible portion of the barrier aligned with an axis of the lumen.

IMPLANTABLE DRUG STORAGE DEVICES FOR DRUG DELIVERY
In one embodiment, a fluid storage device includes a rigid outer housing that defines a septum cavity, a reservoir cavity, and a channel that extends between the two cavities, the outer housing further defining an outlet in fluid communication with the reservoir cavity, a septum provided within the septum cavity, the septum being made of an elastic polymer and facilitating refilling of the fluid storage device, and a thin, collapsible membrane that does not generate significant restoring forces when it is deformed as fluid is drawn from the reservoir cavity and, therefore, does not completely or partially return to its initial non-deformed shape even if the outlet of the device remains open after doses are administered.
Valved catheter assemblies and related methods
Valves are described for intravenous (IV) catheter assemblies for controlling fluidic flow. The valve can prevent blood leakage in multiple access use situations. A thinner area of the valve around a slit is provided. The thicker area of the valve is to provide rigidity to the valve so that it is able to return to a closed configuration when a Luer connector is removed.

A medical valve can include a housing that includes a sidewall and defines a chamber. The medical valve can include a septum coupled to the housing. The septum can include a proximal surface and a selectively openable closure positioned within the chamber. The medical valve can further include a plurality of projections that extend away from the sidewall and are configured to contact the proximal surface of the septum to oppose movement of a restricted portion of the septum in a proximal direction such that an aspiration cracking pressure required to open the closure to permit fluid flow through the septum in the proximal direction exceeds an infusion cracking pressure required to open the closure to permit fluid flow through the septum in the distal direction.
Magnetized Catheters, Devices, Uses And Methods Of Using Magnetized Catheters
Catheters, vascular access devices using such catheters, methods of using such catheters and uses of such catheters are disclosed. The catheter comprises polymeric tubing including a composition that can be magnetized by application of an externally applied magnetic field, thereby magnetizing the tubing. Detection of the magnetic field provides location information for the catheter in the vasculature.
