TELESCOPING CATHETER

Telescoping catheters for selectively moving a component of a medical device system are disclosed. An illustrative telescoping catheter may comprise a proximal hub adjacent a proximal end of the catheter, a drive cable, and a telescoping section extending from a proximal end adjacent the proximal hub to a distal end. The telescoping section may comprise an intermediate sheath having a proximal end coupled to the proximal hub and extending distally to a distal end, an outer sheath disposed over the intermediate sheath, the outer sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, an inner sheath disposed within the intermediate sheath, the inner sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, and a seal member disposed between the intermediate sheath and an outer surface of the inner sheath. The intermediate sheath may be configured to be longitudinally displaced relative to the inner and outer sheaths.

Fluid delivery devices, systems and methods

Fluid delivery devices, systems and methods. The fluid delivery devices may be used to delivery fluid (e.g., insulin) to a user. The devices may have one or more inlets, and may be configured for use with an injection device, such as a syringe, and/or with a pump.

TUOHY VALVE TIGHTENING PORT FOR PERCUTANEOUS CIRCULATORY SUPPORT DEVICE REPOSITIONING AND AXIAL LOCKING

A tightening port for use with a hub of an introducer sheath includes a cartridge for reversible engagement with a proximal end of the hub, the cartridge having a proximal end and a distal end and a lumen extending therebetween, a seal positioned within the lumen of the cartridge, a lock nut having an inner portion positioned within the lumen of the cartridge and an outer portion configured for engagement with the proximal end of the cartridge, such that the inner portion of the lock nut is configured to push the seal to reduce a size of an opening of the seal.

A percutaneous fluid access apparatus includes a percutaneous fluid access device. The percutaneous fluid access device has a base portion including a subcutaneous portion and at least one port for connection to one or more fluid conduits within a body of a patient. A housing has at least one fluid channel and at least one seal for sealing the at least one fluid channel, and the housing is removably attachable to the base portion. The at least one fluid channel is in fluid communication with the at least one port when the housing is attached to the base portion.

DIALYSIS SYSTEM AND APPARATUS WITH FLUID FLOW CONTROL

A dialysis fluid apparatus includes a flexible dialysis fluid container, a holder structured such that the flexible dialysis fluid container is held vertically within the holder and conforms to a shape of the holder, a pressure sensor positioned and arranged to sense a pressure of a fluid held within the flexible dialysis fluid container, and a control unit configured to (i) store at least one cross-sectional area of the flexible dialysis fluid container, (ii) calculate a head height using the pressure of the fluid held within the flexible dialysis fluid container, and (iii) calculate a volume of the fluid held within the flexible dialysis fluid container using the cross-sectional area and the head height.

Neurosurgical apparatus

Neurosurgical apparatus has a guidance device having a guide tube and a neurosurgical instrument for insertion into the guide tube. The inner surface of the guide tube is arranged, for example profiled, to at least partially engage the outer surface of the neurosurgical instrument when inserted therein. The guide tube thus guides the neurosurgical instrument along a predefined path through the guide tube. At least one of the guidance device and the outer surface of the neurosurgical instrument are configured to provide a fluid return path for carrying any fluid displaced from within the guide tube during insertion of the neurosurgical instrument into the guide tube. A seal may also be provided for sealing the fluid return path.
