LIGHT ASSEMBLY SYSTEM INCLUDING A LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND A SOFTWARE REFLASH KIT AND A METHOD OF OPERATION

A light assembly system includes a light assembly and a software reflash kit for updating software of an internal control unit of the light assembly. The light assembly is constructed for releasable receipt of an electrical communication device of the software reflash kit. The light assembly includes a housing, the control unit, and an access port. The housing defines an enclosed, sealable, chamber. The control unit is located in the chamber. The access port is defined by and communicates through, the housing, and is adapted to receive the electrical communication device for detachable electrical engagement to the control unit.

Board-to-board connector

A connector is mounted on an input-output board. The connector is interposed between the input-output board and a CPU board, and thereby a plurality of pads of the input-output board and a plurality of pads of the CPU board are respectively electrically connected. The connector includes a rectangular flat-plate housing having a first positioning hole and a second positioning hole, and at least one contact row held on the housing. The first positioning hole is formed at a first housing corner part of the housing. The second positioning hole is formed at a fourth housing corner part, which is at a diagonal position with respect to the first housing corner part, of the housing.

Blind mate connections with different sets of datums

Blind mate connection techniques and associated connectors are disclosed. Blind mate connectors provide connections where visual inspection at time of connection may not be available. Stacking tolerance increases when connectors have a different set of datums (e.g., a different relative orientation) relative to adjacent connectors. Different datums permit twinning two printed circuit boards (“PCBs”) prior to insertion into a slot of a chassis. Each connector may be attached to a respective PCB utilizing a spring and offset feature to provide a standoff on a respective PCB. Control of standoff and rotational movement (e.g., via brackets) allows each individual connector to have a “float” for improved insertion tolerance. Connector pairs may connect through an opening in a midplane while simultaneously connecting to the midplane. Switch trays and node trays may be inserted through opposing sides of a chassis and be connected through the midplane of that chassis.

A charging connector for an electrical vehicle has a connector base, a tubular first conductive terminal mounted in the connector base, an insulating isolation member mounted in the first conductive terminal, and a second conductive terminal mounted in a center of the isolation member and coaxially disposed in and electrically isolated from the first conductive terminal. The isolation member has at least one annular groove recessed in an upper surface of the isolation member, extending downwardly, and coaxially surrounding the second conductive terminal. A creepage distance between the first conductive terminal and the second conductive terminal is increased and a surface area for heat dissipation is increased to meet safety specifications.

Connector

A connector for electrical connection between a wire and a conductive load includes a housing and an elastic conductive component having a portion extending through the housing. The elastic conductive component is connectable to the wire. The elastic conductive component is movable up and down relative to the housing to connect with or separate from the conductive load, electrically connecting or disconnecting an electrical connection between the wire and the conductive load.
