Peritoneal Conduit
The Peritoneal Conduit is a medical device composed of tubing with an integrated collar made of a flexible and non-absorbable material for surgical implantation to create a conduit for passage of a catheter between two body cavities. The Peritoneal Conduit has a hollow center that spans from one end (shorter proximal portion) to the other end (longer distal portion). The catheter that will be being placed through the Peritoneal Conduit will enter into the proximal portion and will pass through the hollow center of the Peritoneal Conduit to emerge from the distal portion. The catheter is then secured to the Peritoneal Conduit using one suture that is tied around the groove in the proximal portion of the Peritoneal Conduit. The Peritoneal Conduit itself is secured in placed using two sutures that are placed through the integrated collar at the junction of the proximal and distal portions of the Peritoneal Conduit.
Devices, systems, and methods for peripheral arteriovenous fistula creation

Embodiments include an apparatus for the creation, modification and maintenance of a fistula, including the modification of an existing dialysis fistula; and a method of supplying oxygenated blood to the venous circulation of a patient. A kit of anastomotic implants is described which supports a broad base of patient anatomies and fistula locations. The devices, systems and methods can be used to treat patients with one or more numerous ailments including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, hypotension, respiratory failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension, lung fibrosis and adult respiratory distress syndrome.
Adjustable-length dual-lumen hemodialysis catheter and a method for its use
The present adjustable-length dual-lumen hemodialysis catheter can eliminate the need to stock various lengths of hemodialysis catheters and can provide a hemodialysis catheter, which can be trimmed to various lengths in order to precisely accommodate patients of various shapes and sizes. Specifically, the present adjustable-length dual-lumen hemodialysis catheter can comprise a cuff ring assembly, which can be secured at selected locations along the trailing limbs of the catheter allowing the cuff ring assembly to be installed in a location chosen to precisely fit a particular patient.

One embodiment is directed to a system for creating translumenal vascular access, comprising a dilator adaptor member having proximal and distal ends and defining a dilator adaptor lumen therethrough, wherein the dilator adaptor lumen is defined by an inner diameter profile sized to accommodate insertion of one or more portions of a guidewire, and wherein the dilator adaptor is further defined by an outer diameter profile sized to accommodate at least partial insertion of the proximal end of the dilator adaptor into a dilator member lumen formed through a dilator member, the dilator member being coupleable to an introducer catheter member through an introducer member lumen formed through the introducer member.

ACCESS SHEATH WITH VALVE ASSEMBLY
An access sheath and method of assembling the access sheath. The access sheath includes a hub, a cartridge carried by the hub, the cartridge having a first valve, a second valve spaced from the first valve along a central axis, and a spacer disposed between the first valve and the second valve, wherein the first valve and the second valve each have at least two slits that extend along, and twist about, the central axis, and a shaft assembly having a shaft hub and a shaft that extends from the shaft hub in the distal direction. The access sheath provides a liquid-tight seal when receiving the introducer and other devices to prevent leakage and blood loss and to decrease device insertion forces.
Catheter insertion site plug
The present invention provides a catheter site insertion plug composed of a body that includes an upper surface, a lower surface and a protruding portion extending from the lower surface. The protruding portion of the body forms a frustum having a terminus and defines a passageway extending from an opening at the upper surface to an exit orifice at the terminus of the frustum. The passageway is configured to receive a catheter therethrough. The lower surface may include a second protruding portion in the form of an annular ring around the first protruding portion. The first protruding portion may include an end section that extends radially outward to provide an inflection point generally adjacent the terminus of the frustum. The end section may extend outward to provide at least one radial edge. The present invention also provides a catheter system composed of a flexible catheter and catheter site insertion plug.
NEUROSURGICAL APPARATUS
Neurosurgical apparatus has a guidance device having a guide tube and a neurosurgical instrument for insertion into the guide tube. The inner surface of the guide tube is arranged, for example profiled, to at least partially engage the outer surface of the neurosurgical instrument when inserted therein. The guide tube thus guides the neurosurgical instrument along a predefined path through the guide tube. At least one of the guidance device and the outer surface of the neurosurgical instrument are configured to provide a fluid return path for carrying any fluid displaced from within the guide tube during insertion of the neurosurgical instrument into the guide tube. A seal may also be provided for sealing the fluid return path.
